This is the point where all the people with massive third party legends collections of finely detailed and highly accurate characters go, "Yay! thanks Hasbro."*
Unless - this is designed to fold out into a playset recreating the main areas of the Sunbow Ark at Deluxe scale. Hasbro have made a real thing about how Generations now is in scale with itself, so it seems mad to release a playset that will effectively only work with three Core class toys. However, as said before, the existence of the Core class seems to be for this, in the same way the previous Legends class was for Metroplex.
*This of course means we get the pleasure of hounding Shockprowl until he buys this.

Yeah, I think this is a ship that converts to playset.
Though for some reason with absolutely nothing to back it, half of TFW seem convinced it transforms into The Last Autobot.

Probably just the assumption that anything in Transformers has to have a robot mode. This would work a lot better if it didn't. What it needs to do is transform into a base; unlike something like the Vintage Falcon where you can take outer panels off to reveal the rooms inside, this needs a full blown fold out transform to create the Autobot Earth HQ. That way it's still a transformer even if it isn't a robot.

Well I guess Hasbro have seen how well a set of shitty little stairs have sold in the Star Wars Black Series line under the rather flimsy guise of being a "Carbon Freeze Playset", so they figured they'd give it a shot in Transformers also.
And I'm so glad they have! As I've been complaining about the other Titans, none of them - with the possible exception of Trypticon - really do a decent base mode. Sure, Omega has the little train track, but his body's an afterthought and the tank doesn't really go around the tracks. What this line has been missing is bases with gimmicks, so maybe that's what this'll give us. Or it'll just be an acceptably-scaled diorama. Who knows.
Of course this won't *properly* be the Ark unless it comes with Auntie and some Guardian droids. But it won't. So let's hope some 3Ps can look past giving us yet more Dinobots but in scale with the Ark this time so we can recreate that scene where Wheeljack builds them, and give us something else instead...

And if we feel it HAS to include a robot mode of some sort, perhaps the Teletran 1 unit could have a robot mode. (Hasbro did hint at someone transforming when they never did originally).

It will take more than some random guy posting indistinct pics with marker pen scribbles to convince me this exists.

If the Ark is a non-robot playset, then I personally want the Axalon next.
Opens up into a Bridge playset, and comes with micromaster (or smaller) scaled set of maximals. And then you can recreate Season 3 type set ups with G1 crew guest stars.
(I guess I am never going to get over wanting a BW set that's in scale with G1 classics.

Listening to the RFC news update on this has made me realise something. They said the early rumours about this claimed the teletraan one unit turns into a robot, not the whole ship, which was a rumour that then became the Ark has a detachable shuttle based on one from Beast Wars, which turns into a robot. However, if you look at the image we have, you can see the teletraan console and the blob in the bottom right are the same piece. The blue bits on the blob that look like a parrot - one is on the side of teletraan 1, and the two pointy spikes at the top are on both pieces. So - transforming Ark with removable shuttle that turns into teletraan 1 for the playset?
I also see Kapow have posted this on their FB, which gives it further endorsement. Given they are privy to knowing what's coming next year from their meetings with Hasbro, they aren't going to put something like that up if it's a fake.
I can see Habsro thinking, we've run out of figures to do at this price point and Star Wars fans clamor for playsets, so let's give it a punt with Transformers and see what happens. If it works, they've got the option to do a lot more like this.

It's going to be a reworked Fort Max with a Teletraan 1 shuttle/head.

The original 84 G1 toys are small (smaller than we sometimes remember them being) , so hoping it will scale nicely with those too.

Look, chum. You're the one with the 3P legends scale collection. Of ALL Hubbers, you're the one who MOST needs to buy this. It's a PLAYSET (tick) suited to all your diddy toys (tick). This is an essential Shockprowl purchase.
Tonight ends the Jetfire hounding and begins... THE ARK HOUNDING!

If this Ark exits just imagine if it just a hallway (like the Tantive IV playset) or you need to buy multiples to make the full thing (like the carbon freezing chamber playset).

I'm not sure that the Transformers fandom has proven itself to be quite as big as bunch of suckers as the Star Wars fandom has done for that to happen. Not quite yet, anyway. Give it a couple of years...

I’ve always assumed that the Star Wars fandom is an order of magnitude bigger than the Transformers one, and so market conditions favour that kind of offering. They can afford the risk more.
In other words, in absolute terms there are many more suckers in the Star Wars fandom...

You, sir, are up shit creek without a paddle. We'll see... We'll see. It ain't bought 'till the Fat Lady sings. AND I DON'T HEAR NO FAT LADY!!! I... I am very uncertain if I want to go down this dark dark road. The concept is intriguing, but what of the expense...? I'm going to need pictures, and, frankly, this is going to have to be AMAZING. I have lots of stuff I need to spend money on.
