Balls. An end to main line Transformers under a tenner*.
In the current economy raising prices is not ideal. Perhaps sales are down.

Deluxe is a big ouch, but everything else is the same. In context though, deluxes are still more toy than similarly priced action figures.

Oh yes, Ractontite’s very much rocks tonight. Or something. I already loved the concept, and this looks like a great attempt at realising it. I’ll most certainly be getting one of these.

That's her from behind? It's a view of her spider mode that we haven't seen before. I posted it because it helps show more how she transforms.

i'm not particularly fond of Megatron's beast head. It's a weird shape and sculpt, and too small. Doesn't really look like a tyrannosaur, which is weird given there's a tyrannosaur skull in the same line. Otherwise it's about as much as I could hope for.
Cyclonus isn't as good as U2 Cyclonus, but it's nice for those who came along after that mold, and leaps and bounds better than the rubbish that is cw cyclonus.

From Hasbro:
So they're actually doing something somewhat meaningful with their little headcanon stories that so far have only existed through word of mouth.
Also sounds like they're either refusing to take a stand on who became Cyclonus, or are retconning it and saying both were merged into Cyclonus. I honestly can't tell.
Also I do hope we get an accessory pack, because I feel the BW weapons are far more iconic and recognizable than most G1.

I feel like "WFC-K9" rightfully should have been K-9. I don't care that they're supposedly only doing show characters.
They could afford to skip a damn G1 dude to make it happen. Not like there aren't already a hundred Bumblebees.

There is something wrong about WFC-K9 not being K9...... but maybe that's a secret hint as to Cyclonus' true identity? ;-)

OK..... we know there's 4 wave 1 deluxe, they've all been leaked and we've seen them and 4 characters is the standard for the deluxe assortment There's a listings leak for Wal*Mart for another w1 Voyager tmukhub.proboards.com/post/422300/threadK1 is obviously Core like Rattrap and we know who he is tmukhub.proboards.com/post/422217/threadThe number listings go up in size class in the wave as they normally do. So..... EITHER WFC-K3 is another Core and WFC-K4 to WFC-K7 are Deluxe OR WFC-K3 to WFC-K6 are Deluxe AND WFC-K7 is another Voyager Both scenarios are possible: Voyagers have been shipping in cases of 3 this year and 3 is also generally the number of characters in the Micromaster assortment Core is replacing. Despite them doing it EVERY TIME I completely failed to contemplate there being a preview reveal via IGN. Would have been on the look out. That was a very busy couple of hours. 3 1/2 pages of Cheetor, Rattrap and Cyclonus salvaged from various threads. The Kingdom leaks and speculation is safely locked away pending official reveals. More of this Saturday. Any more Kingdom leaks - and I'd be very surprised if the other W1 Voyager doesn't leak before then - stick them in the general Generations leaks thread tmukhub.proboards.com/thread/559/generations-leaked-images-rumours

I'm so sick of all these thieves and leakers ruining everything for internet kudos.
But if all of these hadn't been leaked I may well have had a heart attack. I'm pretty sure every one of you would have been able to hear me screaming all the way over there.

Yeah, they have been. ER and Siege both talked about the interactivety with toys sold seperately, such as the battlemasters, weaponizers, and blast effects.

Classic Beast-Era characters and Cyclonus! Who should really be in the Studio Series ‘86 line but isn’t because... reasons.
Somewhere right now Mark and John Warden are having the BEST party. And you are NOT invited.
No. Not you, either.

Bafflement aside, these are all looking good so far. I mean, we already knew Rattrap and Cheetor were (aside from Cheetor’s weird, lifeless eyes), but good to have it confirmed. And that Megatron is looking fantastic. Really glad they went for a “realistic” approach (although disappointed to learn they could have done better) as opposed to cartoon with that - just gives it a really nice look. Very much looking forward to getting ahold of these.

One of the problems Hasbro has with Tyrannosaurs, over and over again, is the proportions of the head. Imagine of how big a tyrannosaur's head is... It's bigger than that. It's unbelievably big. Almost comically big.
And that's why (movie aside) no Grimlock has been an actual tyrannosaurus since Classics, and is usually just a generic nondescript theropod.
Megatron here has a muzzle that's somewhat tyrannosaur shaped. It needs lips, both for scientific, toy, and show accuracy. But where it goes sideways is the eyes and brow line. The way they did this here has no bases in reality, the show, or the toy. It's almost like it's trying to be like the Transmetal Rex head. And as I said, it's too small. Again, not accurate to reality, toy, or show. The original toy, being based directly on Jurassic Park was actually pretty good all around for the time. It's a shame this tried to do it's own thing in that regard.
The rest of the animal, aside from complete lack of feathers (they likely weren't covered, but they had some), and that the arms are too big, is good enough to make me happy. And I wasn't expecting either of those to be correct to begin with. (A tyrannosaur's arms... For an animal that stood 18' at the hips and pushed 40' in length, their arms were only as long as yours. That's tiny enough. Now add muscle, and fat to that? From the middle of your forearm to your finger tips is probably about as much of it's arm that was external. Now if it had a layer of protofeathers, you might not even see it. Gosh I love how ridiculous tyrannosaurs were. And this was one of the most successful creatures in history)

I'd have loved to see that reflected in the toys. Unfortunately I think that toy companies still need "dinosaurs" to look like their popular perception in order to be able to sell them to the public successfully. Much more work on changing that perception is needed. I'm hoping it comes.
Who knows? Maybe Selects will do slight retoolings and repaints to make them scientifically more accurate. That'd be a thing. And a not unwelcome one for me.

And you are NOT invited. No. Not you, either. My guess is that we got Springer in Siege and Arcee, the Allicon, and the Quintesson Judge, in Earthrise because there aren't enough slots in the SS'86 line? Maybe it would be just more than they can produce in one year of releases while still producing more than one line, so the next best thing is giving us the characters elsewhere. There's also the rumoured earth-mode Ultra Magnus for Kingdom, and Galvatron too. I don't really mind, even if it does make Kingdom look like another POTP. I think the only thing that would bother me is if this is why we never get a WFC-styled Skids!

I'm happy with fantasy dinosaurs. I don't want realistic dinosaurs in a make-believe robots toy line. Just my personal taste.

The way I see those pictures, I'm imagining it's inside the volcano with the Ark (like the end of The Agenda) - but now Cyclonus has also traveled back in time to change history again.
