I like the concept as well (though fundamentally they’re the same concept as weaponizers, just unusual alt modes), but the implementation also leaves me cold.
The design of the one we’ve had the best look at so far is pure horror movie monster stuff to my eyes, and I’ve never been into that.
Maybe I’ll prefer Ractonite once we get a proper look!
