Absolutely. This constant rush to get to what's next is a major contributor to my Collector's Fatigue. Rush rush rush rush.

Yup. I've checked out. Oddly, despite having done so I still have a dozen orders paid for earlier in the year that have yet to ship. So despite having given up on TF's for now I'll probably have new stuff arriving for another 3 or 4 months!
Yes, the concept cycle of pre-orders was rather tedious this year.

Excellent! We're probably straying into the territory of the Generations Wish List thread, but that list does show how much potential is left for updates without tediously cycling through the same old characters. And many of them are really neat designs, it's not like all the good ideas were used between '84 and '86! Backstreet always looms large in my memory, he felt like a major character to me due to the comics, and I'm sure a lovely looking deluxe could be made for him (and his Boys). SS Jazz also looks to me like a potentially good base mould for some Action Master retool homages - Kick Off, Jackpot. Even Rad at a stretch (probably shouldn't be a car, but the body type isn't far off).

Definitely time for calming down on the pre-orders.

Yeah, even if I wasn't facing a period out of work (so tightening the belt) I would have halted spending anyway due to the silly number of backed-up pre-orders!

What Prime is that? Earthrise repackaged? I was confused cos of that cheap prime which is part of the wave, but he's a blister pack according to FP listings.

Does G1 and Beast Wars together look weird? We've all done it, had 'em all out together for a good beat-up. But, when it's, you know, like 'official' and that...

It kinda depends. It's not weird seeing the Optimi and Megatrons together. But it is weird seeing G1 nobodies in the mix, like Huffer and Warpath along side big BW names like Cheetor and Blackarachnia.

So what use is bone armour and sticks to robots? Looks okayish with the beast guys but on Impactor and Cyclonus, I'm not too keen on it. The bones probably have magic powers in the story, I guess.

Or they're not really bones. When the crashed ark scans for local lifeforms, it just sees bones in the ground and says 'Weird animals but okay' and makes the metal body of a Cog into a metal bone looking thing.

So do fossilizers actually transform, or do you just reassemble into a new configuration?

I've still got 12 preorders currently. No ER W3 or Kingdom. I figure I can wait til they're in the wild.
After Kingdom, I think they may go in for Multiverse and essentially return to what Generations was originally meant to be. The story element hitting Time Travel in Kingdom puts them a skip and a jump away from alternate dimensions after all, so Hasbro's 'narrative' gives them the excuse.
The recent random UT and Shattered Glass Selects, maybe even the G2 decos and Prime rereleases, could be testing the water for them. I seriously doubt Breakdown and the Jet Vehicon would be a high priority for a do-over after all.

Perhaps 2022 could be a line devoted...to...MINI-SPIES.

I don't remember whether that core class Vertebreak was a Fossiliser or just a normal Transformer that shares the Fossiliser look, though. That one looks like it transforms without being pulled apart and reconfigured.

I just remembered what it sort of reminds me of - attaching Minicons to bigger robots. The same type of daft.

The core class fossilizers are regular TFs, going by Vertebreak, while the larger ones are Weaponizers.
