ID have shipped Tracks! Did we think G2 Ramjet was happening now as well? Star shipped my Ramjet today so it should be imminent. All the sellers said they were getting it Wednesday. Rodimus is in the post to me as well. |

Tracks is an absolute disaster.
It a few good ideas that went wrong in every step.
If you have the RtS, this is a massive downgrade.
Almost the entire car is clear painted plastic, at a few points that needs to be bent to get other bits passed it.
It's leg to front end transformation is a nightmare that very nearly requires negative space to work.
But worse yet, his fenders don't seem to tab into anything, in either mode. This is what his feet are attached to, thus this is what carries his weight. The only thing that holds them in place is friction on the pin joint.
2/10, do not recommend.

I've transformed him a couple times in hopes I was doing things wrong.
But changing him from car to robot is downright terrifying. The car shell (all clear plastic) fits so tight in car mode that when it finally gives when you're trying to seperate it, there's a massive SNAP, sometimes with enough force to fly out of my hands, that I think I broke it.
I predict that many will not survive to be ten years old.
This is a toy that's complex for complexity sake, and it goes wrong at almost every point.
The legs did not need to be so complex. They're just extra steps to add to the "steps" count on the back of the card.
I got Scorponok today!
He also comes with warnings! He is absolutely NOT intuitive. I do not recommend attempting without instructions, you may break his neck! It looks like it's supposed to tuck completely into his chest, but it isn't.
He has a very... inventive... transformation. It's not bad, I just wasn't ever expecting how his legs transform. Not a nightmare, like Rhinox is.
Of all toys named Scorponok, he might be one of the best.

I got Wingfinger today, and she is a weird one. Weird in a good way, but I can see others not liking her.
Also, she is absolutely what they should have used for Transmutate.

I hear her in my head with either a flat, bland nordic or austrian accent. Since it's terribly unlikely the fossilizers will ever get any personalities or fiction, unless they show up in the BW ongoing, I'm working on my own origins and profiles for them. |

Nah, I'm usually one of the first to be excited by a character that's not another G1 Sunbow homage, but this design just doesn't do anything for me - there's just not a lot of visual interest there.
That said, I can see a Generations Selects Ironfist out of this. Maybe.
