I see that round table tells us Slammer is an Airwave remould. That means Phil must buy twenty of them.

That Hot Rod is pretty poor compared to the previous core G1 figures.

I see that round table tells us Slammer is an Airwave remould. That means Phil must buy twenty of them. Ironworks, not Airwave, they got that bit wrong. See pics above. Two on order, but I will consider my troop building options. I got 3 Fasttracks at the time and ended up giving one to Ralph

It looks more like a combination to me. Ironworks' thighs, yes, but the rest of Slammer looks more like Airwave's skeleton. These are modular figures, it's a mix and match with remoulding.

The Hot Rod is interesting: It looks like the whole length of the top of the car - bonnet, windows - is folded up on the back of the legs, the rear of the car when the spoiler backpack is removed. It also looks like the CW Alpha Bravo leg joint is present to enable the upper legs to fold into the lower legs, the first time it's been used on something this small.

It's certainly doing something different and interesting, which is always welcome. Unfortunately, as well as being not-pink, the figure also just doesn't look that great. From the spindliness and hollowness of the limbs this looks more like an Authentics figure. And I know it's a Legends-sized figure, so maybe it'll look okay in hand, so maybe I'm being overly harsh, but all the same it doesn't look quite right...

My interest has dried completely up now. Compared to what Core class has done so far this is not great.

I don't see why they couldn't have cribbed his original or classics engineering. He looks like Hotrod is supposed to, but he's not even close to Sunbow accurate. So if they don't achieve that, then there's no point in a false chest. And if there's no need for a false chest to replicate cartoon accuracy, then there's no need for a convoluted transformation where you hide the entire top of the car on his legs.

Oh I wonder if thats it. You just described Vehicons legs. To do it properly you might only be able to keep the upper legs and hips and spine. But remould the fake chest and spoiler and give it a new head and you get a decent vehicon robot mode.

Which would fit in well with them doing Prime in Legacy

Is a core class vehicon in the rumor mill, or are you guys just speculating?
I don't keep track of known cores, let alone the rumors, when they're just shrunken versions like most of them.

Then he will take.... TWO SUITCASES! Well we do have the Scraplet's travel allowance, too. And surely he won't need all of that. Or his seat on the plane. We can just stow him in the overhead compartment. It'll work.
