Five a day is fruit and veg not diary.
Nor is cheese a vegetable as *someone* here has recently tried to claim to me.
Potato also doesn't count as a portion of five a day as it is a carbohydrate. Especially in waffle, chip or other highly processed forms.
Nor is a BBQ, brown or tomato sauce etc one either simply because the ingredients list includes 'tomatoes'.

Somewhere in the multiverse is a world where cheesy chips counts as two of your five a day, but it isn't this one.

Good grief Pinwig. Only possible things can exist in a multiverse.

No it doesn't. It has them in a highly processed form along with added sugar and salt etc rendering any heath benefits nil.

Nonsense. Tomatoes are fruit and thus good.
Milk is in chocolate, which makes chocolate good.

INCORRECT.
Such thinking can only lead to a bad diet which can only lead to sub-optimal health.

Milk and cheese are a source of calcium and protein, and they are good for you in moderation. Potatoes are a source of vitamin C, and they are good for you in moderation. Meat and eggs are also good for protein, in moderation. But 'five a day' does not refer to 'five things that are good for you' a day. 'Five a day' is _specifically_ about non-starchy fruit and vegetables, which are also part of a balanced diet but not eaten enough of in the UK.
