My daughter has got into painting lately and also been encouraging me to join in at the same time, so I've been doing these "found still life" paintings based on our cluttered shelves (no posing!). They're about 15cm square, mixed media (Acrylic, ink, watercolour, crayon, glitter...), and I'm aiming to do 12 of them so I can make a calendar for myself for next year (will run out of "found" compositions though, and have to start posing them). #1: Still life with books, Buddha, leaves, a shell, a GBA SP with Pokémon Leaf Green inserted and Action Master Shockwave  |

#11: Still life with Atari 2600 controller and games, vase with forsythia, UK electrical adapter, LEGO box, lunaria (?) leaves, and Gears Acrylic, ink, watercolour, wax crayon, and white glitter on paper, 15x15cm, 2021 With some assistance from my daughter in composition and suggestions on how to paint it!  This one scanned _terribly_, the colours are much more vibrant in real life. Don't know what happened there. The worse-for-wear Gears pictured here is my first ever Transformer - the crutch I made for him already when I was a boy from some thin card and silver spray paint. |

Gears crutch is amazing. And the painting of Gears is great too.
Crosshairs is doing my head in, it all optical illusionary. I keep thinking Im looking at a Crosshairs painted with acrylics rather than a painting of Crosshairs in acrylics.

Overall I am pleased
With this bunch of knick knacks,
The candle was coloured
With crayons of wax
But if there is one thing
That does make me cringe
