Hey folks! I've been chatting to Matt about my idea for a bit, and even though TFN is cancelled, I still want to do a zine with TMUK with all proceeds going to Toy-Fu. Because listen, I've been a fan of Transformers my entire goddamn sentient existence, TFPrime is my favourite thing ever, and I'll be damned if this bloody virus will stop me from finally contributing something!
The idea:
This would be a prose zine, B&W, hopefully with illustrations. I have two main stories in mind, both set in the Aligned/TFPrime continuity. Both would take place after TFPrime wraps up, and hopefully won't really contradict RID 2015 but I admit I haven't watched it. ANYWAY! One would be about the TFP Constructicons, who are all girls, and go from planet to planet helping fix infrastructure, but they keep getting harassed by Skywarp and his Blackwing Squadron (they sound scary but they're all washout losers and Skywarp is no better). The other story will be a road trip in which June Darby will help Nitro Zeus figure himself out.
I know these are very silly stories, but I hope I can make this happen this year. It'll be my first time writing prose (I write tons of non-fiction), so I hope I can do a good job!
Help needed:
If anyone's interested in helping me put this together, it'd be super. My only zine experience is of the punk-DIY-photocopying variety. I'm also not much of an artist, so if anyone is interested in helping me with that part of things, that'd also rule.
Oh and if this is a bad idea to do this year, do let me know! I don't want to step on any toes or do anything that's not approps.
