All these years...
All these years gone by, not opening a Transformers toy for ages was described as 'Doing a Pinwig'.
NO MORE!
M revealed in the other thread, I forget where, the UNBELIEVABLE truth, that he has ARMADA toys STILL unopened...!
The shock felt around the ENTIRE Hub was palpable. None of us will forget where we were when we heard this terrible news.
His shame knows no constraint, no reproach. All he leaves in his wake is his merciless abuse of his patsy, The Pinwig. Pinwig, although guilty of fairly serious non-opening crimes, is an innocent next to the MONSTROUS UNOPENING SHAME of
the one

From this time forwards, the non-opening of toys for extensive amounts of time shall be known as-

I will admit I am not opening toys much at the moment but that's only because I am moving in just over 2 months. Easier to leave some things in packaging for shifting. Means less bubble wrap to buy.

To be honest I have a couple of Armada toys I never got to opening. Hoist and that roleplay Buzzsaw I think. I don't think Buzzsaw needs opening, but Hoist will be out one day.

I think the oldest unopened toy I own is a generations Wheeljack. Nine years. Wow. I would never have thought it was that long.

I don't think this is judged on who has the oldest unopened toy because we did that before and it was Bogatan. I've got Beast Wars figures still sealed, said that before. This is about frequency. I open pretty much everything these days as and when I get it.

There are also times when you discover you don't need to open a toy. For example, just last night I learned that the Takara version of Energon Optimus Prime doesn't have the voice chip that the Hasbro one does, so I therefore don't need to bother opening my Japanese one now - it will only be disappointing.

Realised this morning I have some Japanese BW figures I have never opened. A white Tigertron and one of them remoulds of the croc Megatron.
I hasten to add this was inspired by someone of this Parish revealing they had only just opened a slightly older (I think) T Rex Megatron.
