Me like reading Batman. Me want to read some Superman. Me like Justice League movie. Me like Superman and Batman together.
Soooo.....
Recommended Justice League reading? DC crossovers? What's this 'Crisis' stuff all about that I see everywhere when I search DC crossovers? Sounds... involved.

Justice League you want Grant Morrison's run which is the big hitters going up against ever escalating threats.
Justice League International - Giffen/DeMatteis - it's the best Justice League comic ever.
Justice League Earth Two - Morrison/Quitely - it's a one shot available as a nice hardcover.

Crisis of Infinite Earths - I suspect a lot will be lost if you don't know DC lore.

It's incoherent and pointless. Pretty art but I would say: AVOID.

Crisis was one of the earlier DC collections I read; I quite enjoyed it despite not knowing much about DC. Lovely art.
JLI is the only Justice League comic I've ever really gotten into - it's very good, but it's played mostly for humour and isn't the classic big hitter line-up you might expect. Probably Morrison's run is the best bet for that, though I've neber read it.
The New Teen Titans is a very good JL-sort-of-related title. The art from George Perez is wonderful; the main downside is that Marv Wolfman is a very wordy writer who should lean on his artists more. That said, the stories are good - it can just take a bit long to read them.
I've also been really enjoying Geoff Johns' Justice Society of America run which is being gradually released in collections. Again, people say it's heavily steeped in DC continuity, but I haven't found that to be a problem at all.
If you haven't already you should definitely check out Green Lantern / Green Arrow by the sadly recently departed Denny O'Neill. Genuinely brilliant, groundbreaking stuff for its time.
The first few volumes of Suicide Squad are pretty good, too.

Justice League Earth Two - Morrison/Quitely - it's a one shot available as a nice hardcover. Recommended. Bought because of the creative team - also responsible for All Star Superman which we recommended you, and New X-Men, which I think you've read.

Had to correct that Phil, Superman Year One is by Frank Miller, John Romita Jr and Danny Miki. (I loathe Danny Miki inking JRJr).

Morrison Justice League is great if you can get past the horrendous art on much of it.

Had a look last night. Very tempted to loose my mind and order a ton of them. But, with extensions and DIY and bringing stuff back from storage, I... I need to slow down now, and not bring more stuff into the house. Good spot though, Boss, thank you.

It's a great deal but I don't have enough interest in DC to partake. Now, if there was a Marvel or 2000AD/Dredd partwork sale like that...

End of Tower of Bable is... awesome.

Well I can't go back in time! I'm not The Doctor!
I got into it ok. I know who the Justice League are so it was ok to be thrown into it.
It's the pace of the stories that I was most struck with. World War Three in particular. Breakneck speed.
I will try to get the other volumes. Volume 5 is impossible to find though.

World War Three is the end of Morrison's run and it was the pay off to his run. Get the stuff before it and read it in context - even better.
I'd argue his JLA run helped cement Kyle Rayner as a valid GL and part of the big guns (before the rise of Geoff Johns and the need to bring back Hal).
