It's Sideswipe, I believe. Pictures seen on Twitter.

Yea, not quite sold on it. But I am getting a Streetwise vibe from it which is a positive.

Yeah, I hope it looks better in hand. Shame really, but I'm sure it'll find it's market!

Looks awful. Even worse then the Ecotron robot.

YES! OLD STYLE BOX! I'm very happy.
Robot mode is absolutely fine - better than Electron I think as it incorporates the car more into the robot mode.
Only complaint I have is the inside of the car when the doors are open, but that can't be helped.

"The limited edition version of Gigawatt – of which only 1,985 numbered boxes will be released – is available for pre-order on Walmart's website starting at 1:00 p.m. ET on July 2."
Oh FFS. Yes, there is another version later but that kind of crap is scalper's paradise.
I passed on Ectotron as the alt mode was good but I didn't like the robot so £50 was too much. This can't even get the vehicle mode right: the windscreen is awful: it looks like a model kit sprue. Oh well. Robot has the same googly eyes problem as Ectotron.
Easy pass. I love BTTE but that is SHITE. Looks like a discount chain store KO.

I think... I'm not overly fond of the FC on the chest. That puts it drastically out of scale with the figure/vehicle itself (akin to sculpting tiny doors on the chests of some TFP bots), and also it's basically exposing your most sensitive and important component unprotected to anyone who intends to do you harm.
(Earlier was mistaken what the flux capacitor was. I thought it was that engine thing they put the fuel in)

I like it. The blocky Ness I'd the robot mode makes it look like it would if it was an old 80s Autobot car. And isn't Siege Sideswipe a good solid mold?

The detail on the car is a step up on a normal deluxe, but there isn't a whole lot you can do to make a grey car exciting. Combine that with the windscreen and it doesn't really thrill.
Interested to know what the difference between the two will be. I wonder if it's packaging. Pulse version in a normal deluxe box? A run of 1985 is next to nothing when it comes to Transformers. No hope of getting one of those.

I think its literally that the boxes are numbered, or possibly the license plate or something.

That'd be nice. I don't feel the urge to get into the fight it'll need to get a limited one, but if the same packaging is on the pulse version I'll get one to go with Ectotron. Pity the Top Gun job isn't in proper 80s packaging.

Actually even more than Streetwise its reminding me of Robo Watch/G2 Autobot who was also classed as a time machine.

I appear to be in the minority in liking this. Sure, the windscreen's not great, but I like the rest of it, and since it's mostly a pre-existing robot mode it doesn't look as bad as Ectotron did either. It's not trying to do too much, and it just looks simple and fun. And being a deluxe it should cost less than Ectotron, too. I think I just might.

The windscreen is an eyesore. Ruins it, but, if Toyhax are careful they might be able to fix it. Nothing showy, just something coloured right to take your attention away from the windscreen rather than draw you to it. So no cel shading, just a subtle colour with a bit of a sheen to make it blend in.

I don't hate it. But I think Sun/Jack or Runamuck would have made a much more interesting robot, given more of what makes the time machine unique would be on display.
Had they made it black instead of clear, it would have been a massive improvement on that part.
Just because you can make the windows clear, doesn't mean you should.

Mr. Fusion and the lightning conductor rod? What sort of time line is this thing from? Oh well. Robot has the same googly eyes problem as Ectotron. But these are Doc's goggles and Ray's Ecto goggles, how can you dislike them?

I don't understand why the viewscreen wasn't just coloured if it has all that crap behind it. Ruins the vehicle mode completely. A real head scratcher.

The windscreen mess is on the promotional art too - do you think all that plastic is there intentionally? I can't see any shapes like that on the robot mode, so it's odd why it's there at all.

Indeed. And since it's solid, it's not part of the windshield.
It exists to reinforce the roof of the car and support the gull wings. Sideswipe's roof/back was a much bigger and more solid piece, and didn't need reinforcing. So it's understandable. But like I said earlier, the windshield should have been glossy black.

According to 16bit, it sold out and is now going for up to $700 on Ebay. Not a surprise: it was always going to be scalper's paradise, especially when up to 12 could be ordered per customer from a run of 1985!!! I wonder how many actual fans got one 16bit.com-Ralph

Okay so we need two additions!
1) ER Astrotrain retooled into Doc's time train. Another new character: Timetracks. A decepticon arrived in 1885. He scanned Doc's train as it was being built, and ended up stealing the details of the Flux Capacitor. As he goes into the time stream he wants to effect things to his favor.
2) Siege Optimus repaint with minor retool (changes the "bridge" part that attaches the truck grill to the roof, and the new piece as a flux capacitor sculpted in). Comes with ER Prime's trailer retooled to have folding wheels, gribble, and maybe a slightly bigger compartment to fit Gigawatt. Optimus Prime of 2015. He's been altered and enhanced by Doc Brown to travel back in the past to help Gigawatt fight Timetracks.
ER Optimus, Wheeljack, and datsons are straight up stand ins for 1985 autobots. Siege cars are their 2015 counterparts.
