We have threads for most of the online retailers we use, but I don't think we have one for Star. I opened my box of joy earlier and it occurred to me that Star have become my favourite of the online sellers, partly because they go to great pains to keep buyers updated with what's due, but also because their packaging is just phenomenal. I've ordered from them five or six times now, every time it's been faultless so I thought they at least deserved a thread and a photo of what a package from them looks like. That big box I was waving around earlier looked like this inside - every wall padded with a nice thick bubblewrap and every item inside individually separated into lined compartments. When I got the four items I'd ordered out of the box, the green wrap almost filled the box by itself. Every parcel I've had has been like that. Very, very impressed given they charge no more for postage than Kapow or ID. Definite recommend as a company.

I used to order from them years ago, for Star Wars and GI Joe stuff, and can confirm they were great back then. Just haven’t had much of a cause to order from them for a while, especially with the overseas move.

I used them years and years ago for Star Wars figures. Yep, very good, no dramas.

ER Bluestreak: www.staractionfigures.co.uk/E7463.htmlAmusingly, the FB post which just went up just says: 'Another Transformer is available for pre-order this morning'. Probably to stop their server being rammed! -Ralph

Sold out on Star now too. Such short supply on these exclusives! Madness. The numbers on these toys to stores from Hasbro's end must be low. Bluestreak isn't THAT popular! -Ralph

That's what it seems. ID's FB post said the imports were very limited and the Hasbro UK ones less so but still limited.

I think Bluestreak _is_ popular, but more in the way that Sideswipe is popular - he didn't get the big fictional moments but he's one of the most iconic of the original toys and his image was used on a lot of merchandise.
I also get the feeling that a lot of fans are using WFC, and especially Earthrise, to put together a full classic line-up in a unified style, and as a result the exclusives will sell well.

Star has become the first retail site I've seen to put up a notice saying they'll not be taking any more EU orders for the foreseeable due to the Brexit mess. I've heard people saying that this would be coming, but this is the first time I've seen it official.

Can't blame them. Nobody knows what is happening except the Government says we must GET READY.

Unsurprising given that the UK Government is shouting at business to "get ready" for Brexit very aggressively without giving clarity as to what this would actually involve.

Yeah, definitely not blaming them! I feel bad for these small online businesses, it's going to hit them hard. I know Star, Kapow, etc. are UK-focussed but they do get used over here - Kapow is popular on the main German Transformers forum.
I got some pre-Brexit orders in with a few UK retailers in November expecting this; at the moment Books, etc. still works out cheaper than anyone over here for ordering comic collections.

Star are moving their site to a new improved server today, they say one that has flexibility to up bandwidth when necessary for popular pre-order times. Of note in the big FB post about it is this, temporarily they're offering free postage for orders over £50: We will still accept mixed in stock and preorder items in the same order, but there is now limits to the time we will hold orders. In the past we sometimes we held stock for up to year. We just cannot continue to do this. You may notice that preorder items more than two or three months in advance, can no longer be added with in stock products on the same order. This will not only help us, but also help customers keep a better control over their orders and should cut down the need for amending and cancelling orders. Please consider making separate orders for in stock and preorder items. Obviously any delays in deliveries, may see this limit increase, but at time of order you will only be able to order products within a certain time frame on the same order. For example, if you place an order with an in stock item in April, you will only be able to add preorders due in the following couple of months, ie May & June (exact dates to be confirmed) To help customers get used to this, we will initially be offering free shipping on orders over £50 to encourage you to place separate orders.(their site is currently inaccessible, if they're changing servers that's presumably due to DNS propagation so it'll be back up sometime in the next day).

I've had an order sitting at 'in warehouse/packing' status for 5 days and payment was taken 6 days ok. Sent off a polite query. Got a generic "we're very busy" response. Um.

Yes, something like five waves of various lines at once. Obviously customer service is important but they're a small operation and repeatedly say that the more 'where's my order' emails they have to answer, the longer it takes to send everything out. I don't think you need to worry.
