He died today (friday, aug 28) of colon cancer.

Diagnosed four years ago, he never spoke of it publicly. He filmed all his marvel movies, plus a few others while going through chemotherapy.

No wonder he was a bit testy with the intensity of the marvel fans... He was absolutely miserable.

He was a real presence on the screen. A great loss. The challenges he must have endured to achieve the things he wanted to is very inspiring.

I remember an interview with him where they joked with him he was losing his enthusiasm over time. He smiled and shrugged it off. Now we know why. 😟
