I'm not sure I could handle the emotional rollercoaster that comes with being his friend. That must be why he never joins us in real life. He knows we wouldn't cope.

What kind of toy advert is that?! Buy these toys because they're dead!? In the world of science fiction adventure stories for kids, I don't think even "converts their matter to energy" can be considered definitively final! They'll be back... and when the Autobot micromasters least expect it! Weird little story though, it makes the Autobots look just as bad - they also went undercover in the population of Micron with the intention of "seizing" energy from the planet. They were just too slow, and so it was the Decepticons who paid the price for being marginally more competent.

It's pleasantly astonishing for toys to have character details for them again.

I'm not sure I want to go back and find the Ratchet one now. Does it finish with him conducting macabre medical experiments on Lifeline?

Boy, the "meeting a resident of this world" theme didn't even last beyond one set.

I hadn't read the other ones before; read together it feels like they're building some kind of pastiche of American Imperialism.
Micromasters going undercover on a planet with a mission to seize the planet's energy source; the clones blundering onto Biosfera where the locals know the terrain and how to use it (smart money's on Wingspan and Pounce); Ratchet as the white saviour showing the locals how to practice medicine.
Amazing.

That's just making me more sad that I didn't manage to get the Siege version! Did orders for the Takara release ever show up?

I think Siege has the better head, but that's about it for me.

I actually wonder what the point of the new head is. They're so similar it took me a couple minutes of staring to figure out they're not the same.
I think there are a couple parts that could have stayed the same if it meant getting redesigned feet.

I've had a ship note for the Paradron set from Robot Kingdom. Unexpected.
Did anyone keep an RK order and the amazon.com one? I have a security preorder at Amazon too and am wondering if I chance keeping it until this RK one is in my hands. I don't want to end up with two again though like the coneheads. I was half hoping I could cancel the RK one if Amazon shipped first because it's inevitably going to be a bit more expensive.
Phil - how long is it taking RK orders to get here from the point they ship at the mo?

Depends, about a fortnight. When's Amazon due?
Stick the tracking number into Royal Mail's Track & Trace and bookmark the page to keep track

Then in late september, got an email saying they bumped it up to mid-late october. Then a week and a half ago or so, got another email saying it was pushed back to december 15th.

Yes, Amazon is due mid-Dec at the mo but it did jump forward and then go back.
Such fun and games. You'd think a shipped order would be safe. And I really don't want to go through the 'will they actually send it' nonsense with Amazon again. That was why I kept this more expensive RK order as it was already paid.
