This does not excite me. It just feels like just another muddy looking, overbloated MCU cosmic level spectacle, rather than the lower, more human stakes of the previous two.

I knew it.
I thought the script was shockingly poor. It was like they just shot the first draft.
Also: too fucking dark. Couldn't tell what was going on. It was like watching a radio show.
All that kept me going was the actor playing Kang, who was magnetic to watch, spinning gold from manure.
Very disappointing.

Unfortunately... I'm going to have to find myself agreeing with Ralph. The other two Ant-Man films have never been top tier entries in the MCU, but they've nevertheless been fun and the chemistry and playfulness of the main cast have carried them along. This film, alas, has none of that. It does indeed feel very much like a first draft - they've got the nugget of an interesting idea, but they still need to add some character beats and jokes. Disappointing.
