Probably could, if there was a connector that could couple female to female (no sniggering at the back!) - i.e. plug one arm socket into t'other. Not sure there are many (any?) that do that, though...

Oh? We like accessory packs do we? I hadn’t clocked much strength of feeling either way, tbh There was a very good online reception for it when it was revealed. Even those who have objected to the contents have had idea for more but different. Anyone got any more nominations for what they'd like to see in one? Slightly miffed there's no 5mm peg on the back of the drill blaster so I could have plugged it into Impactor's wrist. It is (surprise, surprise) very Sunbow oriented with few bones for toy fans who are missing a few weapons from the last year or two. What would people rather have had in a weapons set? The major omission for me is a properly styled and coloured Sideswipe riffle! Sideswipe, G2 Sideswipe and Tigertrack could have all used that! Plus a red repaint for Red Alert.... who could have used one of the Sideswipe's launchers with a white missile. Matching pair of launchers for Wheeljack. Launchers for Prowl. Ratchet's launcher thing for Ironhide. Wouldn't have said no to a couple of Zetar's drills, especially if it could be remoulded to have a peg on the back of one of them. A 5mm peg Gender changer set and 5mm/3mm adaptors would have been useful too. Maybe chucking in one or more Battlemaster repaints too to make up the numbers on the Targetmasters or provide a cheaper way to get Fracas/Shrute/Singe? |

The set sold out very quickly pretty much everywhere I looked (I believe my order is Out for Delivery as of today), and I'd be surprised if it was just for the weaponiser, despite the delightfully obscure homage.

Fast sellouts for Centurion may be an indicator. Over here that's tempered by the fact only ID had it, and they tend to sell out of exclusives very quickly anyway. A lot of the time ID have sold out before Kapow have even got it up. |

It just seemed to contain a lot of nonsense, like they couldn't work out what it should be - like that Unicron scale Optimus, the tiny Soundwave and Reflector camera - it doesn't feel like anyone really sat down and thought, what's missing, what do we need? Prime's gun should have been done right in the first place. If they'd pitched that as a MTMTE pilot episode pack and done the cage, the rocket pack and roller really well along with the two energon weapons it would have been really appealing. Instead it feels like a box of christmas cracker novelties. Fun for thirty seconds then forgotten. I think it's a great idea, Ironhide's drill and Trailbreaker's radar are along the right lines - if the actual toy releases can't stretch to including accurate weapons then do it this way. Wheeljack's shoulder rockets, Sideswipe's gun. Prowl's launchers - that sort of thing. I'm wondering if they haven't done that because they don't want the backlash of people saying, why didn't you include these with the toys in the first place. They seem instead to have gone the route of providing things you wouldn't expect to get, like Ironhide's drill. It isn't something you'd expect to get with the toy, but it is recognisably associated with him. |

It should have had a set of Energon rods! I agree, though they failed with Roller. A leader class G1 Optimus Prime toy with trailer should have come with Roller. |

Yep. Totally. I am over the moon with the Nonnef kit, but have realised it needs stickers too. So I'm looking at what, £45 for the toy, £25 for the upgrade kit, another £20 to get the sticker sheet sent from Toyhax... so that's a £90 leader toy which will *still* look inferior to the original once it's been upgraded to the hilt.

I also see this line later, which I'm taking as a hint Yes, we may have sent the wrong message to Hasbro by ordering this. For me it was more the novelty of that Brunt repaint and the extra bits that made me order it - I’m not sure that accessory packs are something I want to see more of in the future. Especially if these are accessories that should have been included with the figures in the first place. |
