Let's hope the supply remains long enough for sale prices. ID have had stable stock for several weeks now although Kapow sold out. I might have gone for that had the SG stuff not started appearing.

Yes, Phil, I know an Australian store has it but postage plus CUTA makes it unviable.

How are these not in Studio Series? I guess that Mark overdid it on the early morning medication that day? That's the only explanation I can really think of. Or maybe because they already laid off the person that does the planning of which toy goes into which line... Anyway, Hound I am unimpressed with, because he looks so plain thanks to adherence to the holy Sunbow texts. But that's just me, so this is good for those who want an Earth-mode Hound for their collections. Hatchet I have no connection with, but he looks different and interesting, and I may just pick him up if I ever see him. On clearance. |

Yeah, that was my first thought as well! My main hope is that often toys look more plain in renders than in-hand or in photography.
I wasn't really bothered at not having an Earth-mode Hound, I'd been handwaving the Siege toy as some kind of high-tech Jeep as it isn't too alien-looking, but if the jeep mode on this looks good I don't think I'll be able to resist.

Hound has one of the better reimagined Alt modes in Siege: It's different enough and plausible enough.
The lower legs - and thus both parts of the sides of vehicle - are different but the feet appear to be the same. The chest/body is different. The backpack is missing. The weapons have changed. Other than that, everything else is reused.

But he's neither Cybertrony or, now, not G1y enough to go fully with the Earthrise-and-so-on Autobot cars. He juuuuuust stands out ever so slightly. Not a huge problem n'nothing, but, you know, perfect world 'n' all that. |

Thought it was a great mould, but never felt it as Hound. Kind of regret skipping the Hotshot version which worked much better for me. Also probably would have made for a better Ironfist.
This new Hound does have that slight element of plainess to him that seems to be becoming an issue, but all those Sunbow based bot together over come that problem.
Plus its a Hound (that probably wont explode like the MP one) so I'll be getting it and no doubt the more toy accurate repaint if that comes along eventually.
And that means it may be time for Universe Hound to fulfill his ultimate destiny and join the ranks of Transformers Animated toys.

Deluxe Insecticons would seem a reasonable bet for what else is in there
Blackarachnia or FK coloured Tarantulus?

Based on two sets, here's what I think are the trends.
• Bumblebee vs three bad guys.
• Two beast wars, two "g1" (by this I mean "normal" styled tf over g1 specifically)
• One Bumblebee (car Bumblebee, Goldbug)
• One toy based deco (Blackarachnia, Scorponok)
• One wildcard* (Nemesis Primal, Skywasp)
• One Decepticon (Fangry, Ransack)
*This could also be interpreted as One Black Repaint
So, given Tarantulas has yet to pop up again even in rumors, Tarantulas is a strong contender for Toy Based deco.
We're about out of ways to milk Bumblebees out of ER/Netflix mold. So G2 Bumblebee is also a strong contender.
Contenders for the other BW-
• Nemesis Rhinox (evil Rhinox deco)
• Antagony from Inferno
• TM Tigatron/SG Ravage/BW Glit from Agent Ravage
• Lazorbeak/Hydra from Terrorsaur
There's a decent possibility that a G2 stunticon turns up in the decepticon slot. Which would be quite an evil thing to do.
Override GT or Dark Nitro Convoy/Nemesis Override is possible in the decepticon slot, too.

Like the Lazorbeak from Terrorsaur idea. IIRC wasn't there a Fractyl rumoured some way back?
