But POOR SHOW on Phil for not photographing Buzzworthy Bumblebee in the bath. -Ralph I thought I'd try a different location and demonstrate why the bathroom is the photo studio of choice. Will get some more later/tmw when the iPad has charged

Yeah. It's a nifty little toy, but not worth the price, and too small to go with anything.

I know people are saying this is a core class figure, but stood next to that Prime it doesn't really look like it to me.

It's not about height. It's about mass, and number of moving parts.

I'm not thinking height, I'm thinking aesthetic. It just doesn't look like they're supposed to go together to me. Bee's head is almost twice as big as Prime's and these Core figures are definitely shooting for a look that feels like the current WFC style shrunk. This Bee has the super deformed style of the original G1 toy.
Maybe it started out as Core but was pulled out and used for this when they realised it didn't fit?

Does it really matter what the aesthetic is? It is a core class. It's what that size/pricepoint is now called. Rattrap is a completely different aesthetic to Optimus Prime, who is a completely different aesthetic to Vertebreak.
Deluxe class has had more differing aesthetics than you can shake a stick at. And currently has two to three different aesthetics that don't match, as it is.

Okay. Let me revise what I posted originally then to make it clearer what I meant. The Bee does not look (to me) like it's a good aesthetic fit with the Prime. The style is different; it has an SD feel whereas the Prime doesn't. Rattrap/Vertebreak/Prime all have different styles because they're designed to fit with the toys they associate with - Rattrap fits with the BW figures, Vertebreak fits with the Fossilizers and Prime has a new legends type feel that matches the equivalent Megatron and Starscream figures. This Bee to me looks like a unique style separate to those; that's all I'm saying. When I say it doesn't look like a core class figure, secretly what I actually mean is 'it doesn't look like a figure in the style that matches the Prime that is in the Core class'.
In that regard, no it doesn't matter what the aesthetic is. It'd be quite nice to have a set of SD styled minifigures that update the original Minibots, but I can't see us getting many more like that. If any.

I dont have any core class yet, but I agree, all the main core class appear to have some degree of show accuracy as their main aim. Buzz is clearly not aiming for the same goal. Its essentially the Combiner wars Bee shrunk down but nicer looking and with a proper SD minibot car mode.
I like it, but it is odd.

I'll correct that to say that the toy is clearly Bumblejumper inspired and if there isnt an alternative Bumblejumper head ready to go on this thing then the world no longer makes sense.

Oh wow! I love the way the plate on the back of the car has the details from the original sticker. Those photos really show where the inspiration for this new one came from.

I knew about the sticker from a review I read, but what I wasnt expecting was the moulded details, front and back the bumper and panels are identical. Side on the silhouette is the same. The windows are the same. Everything but the head is Bumblejumper.
