The car mode kinda looks like it's made out of Lego.

Does this mean now that literally any TF ever made can be BUZZWORTHY BUMBLEBEE?

Is this 'buzz' as in exciting? I can't figure this line out, beyond it being a name to group toys in an exclusive subline together.

That Spike figure has fallen over again. Does the toy just not stand up very well?

Well, it’s not quite up there with the Netflix Bumblebee, but it looks fun enough. Spike looks awful, but also so bad I want it. They’ll be dirty it if they ever pop up for a fiver somewhere...

Here’s a question: Given that everything else in this line is an old mold (or indeed repackaged old stock), could it be that this “new” Spike and Bumblebee was also originally created for another line, but somehow never saw the light of day? Maybe in Thrilling 30, or something like that?

I said before I think the BB is a Kingdom Core Class toy repurposed. There's rumoured to be THREE Decepticons - Megatron & Starscream in w2, Soundwave in w3 - but only one Autobot?
Exo Suit Spike.... I did think it might be a repurposed Battlemater but I wonder if Spike is the Daniel that's due to be packed with Studio Series 86 Slag?

Like I said before, there's no way Spike is a former battlemaster. No weapon mode, no hidden handle. And it doesn't look a fraction as good. But it is on par with that awful SS86 Wheelie.
We'll find out soon if it's a daniel pre-paint or not, but I can't conceive of it ever being intended as a failed/cancelled battlemaster.
Interesting thought on Bumblebee though. Bumblebee is also in that promo poster, and I also seem to recall the earliest rumors indicating his inclusion.

It calls to me. It may be easier to get than Netflix Bumblebee if Smyths have any left whenever they reopen.

I found the little guy today. Didn't buy it because I don't need yet another even smaller Bumblebee for $15. But as far as disproportionately tiny bumblebees go, this looks better than most the last two legends Bumblebees. But put a Bumper head on it and I'm sold! If you don't like TR Bumblebee and you can't grab Netflix Bee, this looks a decent alternative, even if way too tiny.
The Spike that comes with it looks even worse in person than in pictures.

I really wish Hasbro would get into swappable heads. Being able to pop off a head and swap it out for a different one would increase my interest by a lot. I'd rather that, than blast effects, honestly. Choose between toy accurate heads and show accurate heads? Or choose between different but otherwise identical characters?

He's a rehomed Kingdom Core. Not sure why? Maybe they thought he wasn't good or big enough (he is TINY! He is an exercise in "how small can we make a transforming bumblebee?")? Maybe they wanted something brand new to anchor the Buzzworthy line? I dunno. But he was designed along side the other cores. He fits with their engineering and sculpting.
He's cute. He's complex. He's one of the better looking Bumblebees And by god is he tiny. He's not much bigger than true minicons. He's also very tabby, and very temperamental, and feels very fragile. Ugly Spike is less ugly in hand, but he's still really bad. They looked at what was the absolute bare minimum they could do here, and did less than that.
There are other, better Bumblebees. Suggested only under these circumstances: -You really like it (most important) -You don't have a bumblebee that satisfies you -You find him on clearance
Otherwise, he's not worth his cost, to me. Unless Bumblebee specifically appeals to you, wait for the repaint if you want the mold.

I've got no chance of finding a Netflix Bumblebee so I could be tempted by Buzzworthy at some point.

Which sounds more creepy now I type it out...

The return of the Mircomaster tapes, except instead of tapes for altmodes, they turn into Trilobites.

Fossilizers would be my first guess, but that makes too much sense. With Buzzsaw, Fox Kids, and the Waruders, Waspinator has enough redecoes to squeeze out a four pack. With Terrorsaur as a no show, he's the only rumored beast mold that has this option. Studio Scourge redeco as a Sweeps four pack?

There's a core Starscream mould. Boom, at least 4 straight off!
Nemesis Prime to give it some variety? Green/Purple Megatron? Soundblaster?

Variety hasn't seemed to be a priority for Hasbro for years. But Thundercracker, Skywarp, Acidstorm, and Sunstorm/Redtail/Slipstream, or four of those sunbow lavender generics would make a large amount of sense. The former because it gets them all in one go without another annoying seeker quest, the latter because Sunbow, and it hasn't been done in nearly 20 years. Makes a lot of sense. So that's probably not it.

First impression of Buzzbee from still inside the pack, is its tiny. Its really really tiny. Like about the same height as the original Cybertron legends class. But its also way way more complex than a legends toy.
Im not happy paying what I did for it, but at the same time I would love full set of complex, articulated minibots at this size because its the first time Ive got a minibot since the originals that felt like a minibot.
They had better do Bumblejumper.
And since we wont get a full line up in this scale just work their way through the South American BB/BJ/CJ variants using this one mould with some new heads.
