Rather tense day here as we wait for Johnson's big announcement. We are due to be married on March 20th, a date picked last summer when we thought things would be ok by now. Going by what has been leaked so far I'm not seeing anything about indoor events in the near future. I fear we may be forced to postpone. -Ralph

I have just discovered The Goons on Spotify. That's brightened the day up.

Morning All!
It's Tuesday 23rd Feb.
Date is important: It's a year ago today I was last in the church building and a year since I last rode on a train. That was the start of my trip to London during the building work which went on much longer than expected. By the time I came home on 24th March Lockdown 1 was in progress and I was ill with what we now suspect might have been Covid.
Yesterday: OK ish day, face not great but that maybe not unexpected as I still have a bit of a cold and accidentally ate the thing we suspect I may be allergic to on Sunday!
Today: J back to ARC. A small trip out planned this afternoon.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

With perfect comedy timing, just after we got the roof fixed and the gutter and boiler replaced, now the back fence has finally died in the gale force winds. It was needing replaced this year but now is just buggered completely. I found what was left of it in another garden. Soon be time for me to try to cope with more workies on the property. The fence on the left caved in not long ago too, though that is the neighbour's responsibility. They haven't attended to it as yet, which is understandable given the national lockdown. -Ralph

Our fence came down right before the first lockdown last year. Got to know the neighbours better.

On the downside the new fence going up trashed my carefully cultivated bramble bush dashing my plans for jam making.
Which reminds me I need to prune it back before it starts going wild.

On the downside the new fence going up trashed my carefully cultivated bramble bush dashing my plans for jam making. I misread that sentence - I first read it as the new fence going up trashing your plans for bramble bush dashing, i.e. dashing into your neighbour's garden to raid their bramble bushes for jam making. Morning All!
It's Wednesday!
Yesterday: Generally OK. Enjoyed my trip out. But things got VERY busy on me VERY suddenly at 6pm: a bit too much happening at once and my head didn't cope too well developing a Huge headache and becoming really noise sensitive.
Today: J out at ARC group this morning. TF Selects Deep Cover and Morbius Epic Collection 1 due. Food order needs doing. Homegroup tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

VERY bad night. Couldn't sleep and full of covid/lockdown/unemployment anxieties that suddenly came over me with no warning. Couldn't get out of bed until circa 11am. Been very busy with OU work of late and just finished a big Assignment in the morning so perhaps a sudden gap in my thinking let the bad stuff in.
Quiet day off from OU. Student Hub Live event at 12 and an OU WAR IN SPACE talk this evening.

Morning All!
It's Thursday!
Yesterday: Physically challenging: Liz's back went and mine played up in sympathy. She's managed to secure a physio appointment TODAY. I didn't get enough sleep in the afternoon, thanks to Royal Mail showing up late, and struggled after that. Selects Clampdown came, albeit at 15:53 instead of between 10:30 and 14:30, but no sign of the Morbius Epic. 30 mins before homegroup I had to wave the white flag and have a hot bath which led to me doing Homegroup from my desk.
Today: Shopping due in this morning. Bins out. L physio.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Especially the body and head, neither feels great after yesterday. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Morning All!
It's FRIDAY!
Yesterday: Wearing. But I think we did OK. Shopping safely away, Liz manipulated by Physio, bins out. Morbius Epic Collection arrived, Luke Cage Epic Collection dispatched, should be here Staurday/Monday. And it was Payday, always good!
Today: Not sure! Hopefully a quieter day. Would like to write something about next week's X-Men epic and need to spell check tomorrow's blog.... plus there's the outstanding ring wheelchair people & dentist.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Much better night. Actually got three hours of sleep in a row.
We have a week's holiday for late August/early September booked, covid restrictions allowing. If it goes ahead, this will be my first holiday in five years. Ralph loves his hotels for breaks, but we went for self-catering as that feels safer and is more likely to be open than hotels if covid goes tits-up again. It's also much more affordable, given that I am currently unemployed after my contract ended and was refused help from DWP. I really don't want to be looking for (what is now dangerous for health) support work until I've had at least the first vaccine jab. I've also had a few set-backs mental health wise of late so I want an all-clear from my GP before proceeding too.

Had an offer accepted on a bit of a fixer upper house yesterday, does need a fair bit of work but it was so far under budget that hopefully it won't be an issue. Downsizing so going to have to cull a fair bit of stuff at some point.

Morning All!
This is Saturday - Watch And Smile.

Today: Hopefully quieter. Mum Zoom this afternoon, TMUK Zoom tonight. I'm 3 weeks post Pfizer vaccine jab today.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.

Jen is off to get her first covid jab. Though she has had covid it was thankfully mild but she remains at high risk due to Health Stuff so I'll be able to relax a bit more.
My mental health has not been great the last few weeks. Quiet day other than a walk after takeaway lunch and TMUK Zoom later.

Went for a walk round the lake this morning, a nice change from 5 days of walking to the office. Turned cold again, but blue sky. So weird seeing the coots on their nest for a second season since start of lockdown.
All over 40s to be offered jab in April? Criminy, wasn't expecting that!

Early morning run, followed by a walk with Suki.
We can now cross roads without having to be carried across in terror. Other dogs remain a challenge, but she doesn't growl, bark or snap - simply recoils in fear so that is at least encouraging.

Going for an essential shop and a walk, to ease the legs (went for a run last night as well) make sure they hold up. A bit of tidying, some artwork and then tonights zoom chat.

Not so much, the house we wanted is long gone and nothing even compares to it out there.. plus pandemic made Jen not want to take the child even further from his grandmother.. so, we’re going to totton, proper edge of the forest part.
