How can Galvatron beat Ultra Magnus time and time again if he is the height of Jimmy Vee?

Galvatron is certainly a bit shorter than Ultra Magnus.
Size isn't everything.

Galvatron changes size and weight every time he transforms. It's bound to have an effect upon his robot mode over time.
The paint wear is a little distracting...

So the best way to make Galvatron look decent is to stand him behind lots of better figures, got it!

I tend to think of Galvatron as fairly lithe (compact, powerful, dangerous), and this obviously is not that, but it is approaching the barrelish proportions of the original toy. Maybe it will really shine in toy colours (especially if they give him a toy-inspired alternate head).

Make a note of the word 'pontoons', Darling. I like it. I'd like to use it more in conversation.

It's really poor. The funny fat little thighs are the worst bit. The photorapher isn't up to much so somebody who knows how to use a camera might make it look less awful, but the toy isn't naturally photogenic.

You have to wonder why. He's a flying space gun; it's not like the robot has to be compromised to make the alt mode accurate to a recognisable shape.

They've OBVIOUSLY designed him around his shoulder pontoons. "Pontoons first! Pontoons first!" They said. The rest came after.

That peripheral vision can't be good for him. Someone should take a photo with Dinobot attacking from the side.

There is something about his face and build in those photos which says "fat thug" more than "insane but powerful and near-indestructible leader". I am going off even the idea of a toy-colours version.
Also in a line where one of the gimmicks is battle damage deco, he's the one figure I wouldn't give any battle damage to.

I looks like it belongs in Big Phil's dirty Transformers thread.
I imagine Big Phil himself is going to have field day when he warms up.

That cannon mode is something of a mess. At this point I think I'm preferring the Titans Return version. Still, toy colours will save all...

Surely a space gun from this is fair game!?
Can't they call it a cosmic hand drill or something?
