I'm sure this is better than it looks. I want to wait until we get some proper photos rather than a leak before I'm disappointed. Don't forget the TR one has a rubbish head.

Oh that head wanged chung big time! Was a shame cos the Titanmaster was SUPERB, just the Scarlett Witch style mask..... oh dear!
I'd have paid again for the TR version with a new, fixed in place, fold up head.

Definitely looks a lot better photographed against a lighter background - it doesn't make him look quite as top-heavy as the earlier pictures did.

Isn't it interesting that we complain about proportions in the bots? As if these alien robots have to adhere to the vitruvian man proportions in order to be aesthetically pleasing. You can argue the intelligent design of humans would also apply to robots that need to perform the same basic movement functions, but at the same time... These are not human and they are mechanical, so any shape could be warranted.

Well there's alien proportions, then there's bad anatomy. We inherently recognize bad anatomy, even if we aren't aware of it.
Cases in point- Cybertron Crumplezone has alien proportions. But his overall anatomy is good. Animated Bulkhead has different proportions for his cartoonish appearance, but his overall anatomy still is good. RiD X-Brawn's left arm is significantly larger than his right, creating really funky proportions. Whether yoy like it or not, I've never seen anyone use "bad anatomy" as a criticism. BM Vehicons are generally the most alien of all transformers (bar a few movieverse). But they're generally good anatomy, even though they're very different.
I rarely ever see anyone complaining about anybof these, beyond a personal distaste for the styles.
But if your gut reaction to weird proportions is "bad anatomy," to certain figures with weird proportions, but not others, then it probably is.

What's throwing him off isn't that he's too bulky, it's that his arms are almost a quarter too low down his torso. If this were a human male, the top of his arms would me attached just above nipple level.

Some of it's familiarity, too. We know what Galvatron looks like, we've been seeing it since 1986. It's like seeing your best friend of twenty years only now they've been working out a lot and are super buff. It's still them, but it doesn't fit the mental image of them you have, you know? The bits are all there, but they're just slightly off somehow.

Maybe? I don't see how, and like Rodimus' space RV mode, that likelihood grows less with every photoset.

Isn't it interesting that we complain about proportions in the bots? As if these alien robots have to adhere to the vitruvian man proportions in order to be aesthetically pleasing. This is a valid point, but that isn't the problem here. We aren't comparing this Galvatron to the shape of a human, we're comparing him to how he's looked in all TF media for the last thirty five years. If he'd always been this squat and broad-shouldered we'd be applauding the accuracy. However, as said before, I'm still not convinced this is quite as it should be and desperately want to hang on for some proper photos. I'm not even sure we can trust Hasbro after the tremendous arse-fest that ER Ultra Magnus was shown to be.

Punch him Grimlock! Punch him in the face!
I think the height is about right - face to face with Magnus and slightly taller than Prime.

He has nothing to sit on anyway, has he?
Or has Unicron got a little Unicron sized cottage hidden somewhere somewhere on the corner of the universe? He could have a big rocking chair in there to relax in after a hard millenias work.
Thanos could live nearby.
