The product code for that one looks a bit early compared to the others and they did mention in the stream that the Prime/Ratchet two pack is part of this. I'm not sure I like Blurr's head, it looks a bit Cyberverse to me, but I could go for this line. I'm keen to see the Jetfire. If that's black and purple I may go for it, but it needs more purple than the Dark Skyfire had. |

I wonder what all this means for Selects. That has been the primary exclusives line for the last few years, but there seems to be a big divergence from that. I was quite surprised to find the SG figures have their own window packaging given they're a Pulse exclusive. Seems Pulse are jealous of the other exclusive sublines like Odyssey and Netflix and want their own unique brand. That's got to put a dent in the volume of Selects figures this year.

The more I see it, the less Blurr works. And I wasn't impressed to start with.
But in this case, it's because this mold is soooo extremely sunbow that's working against it.
I think Blurr would have worked better as a P/CP retool.

I think this has little impact on Selects.
I also don't think this is (currently) intended to be an ongoing subline, like Selects.

That certainly seems to be the intention, although I do also wonder if they're testing the waters here to see if this idea has legs. If it does well I'm certain that we'll see more SG figures in coming years.
As to the toys themselves, whilst I have little interest, this Blurr actually looks really nice. Given I had no interest in picking up the standard Studio Series version of this mold (on account of being happy with the Takara Legends version), if I was to get one it'd probably be this one, since I really like the colours on him. Although purely for financial reasons I very much doubt I will.

I like the vehicle mode, but the robot is doing very little for me. I think the entire head is new, not just the face, and it's too bulbous?
I think it's based on the original SG Blurr? Which was a much bulkier toy in general.

SG has always missed the point. You can't have a Mirror version of TF unless you properly define what it is the opposite of.

I think except for Discovery, every single writer/show/story I've seen completely fails to understand what Mirror, Mirror was about and what it was.
Shattered Glass isn't Mirrorverse, it's Bizarro World.
The FP writers couldn't even figure out a gimmick for it and stick with it.
I think SG Galvatron is the only toy to my taste that nails what would have made SG interesting to me. Galvatron, in Galvatron colors, as a rescue helicopter instead of a laser cannon.
U2 Onslaught in traditional Optimus deco as SG Optimus would have made a much more interesting Optimus to me.

Only ID out of the UK based dealers of note are listing him, BBTS and Entertainment Earth too according to Phil. So semi-exclusive it would appear.
