Madness. If you go into doubledigits start closing some.
Just bookmark the pages and come back to them

And you wonder why your machines creak and fall over... That's on the phone. Only 39 open on the laptop. Why would tabs crash a machine? -Ralph

Each tab uses system resources and memory
Use too many at once and the machine keels over.
Do it too often and the machine may develop problems elsewhere as a result

Yeah the only time I ever go more than that is if I'm opening images to harvest them or opening a set of pages for a book to see if any retailer has got them in.... and then they're only open for a few seconds

oh, didn't think about my phone! I have 98 tabs open there.
I am gutted whenever I have reached the max number of tabs in Safari and then when you click a link in an email it replaces one of the old tabs without letting you go back in the history. I would definitely have read that! One day! Whatever it was!

I know. It is a pain when a new tab overwrites an old one. It was open for a purpose!

Bookmarks became a thing of the past when tabbed browsers were introduced. Not had to use bookmarks for years! Embrace the future, Phil.

Bookmarks became a thing of the past when tabbed browsers were introduced. Not had to use bookmarks for years! Bookmarks are for pages you want to, tabs are for ones you are actively using now. Tabs eat memory and resources, Bookmarks don't. Bookmarks are the way forward, not the past!

Laptop is switched off when I go to bed. -Ralph So do you manually open 70 odd tabs every time you turn the computer on? Or does the browser remember which ones you have open and do it for you?
