Phil has been out to lunch!
(some might say Phil has been out to lunch for a number of years ....)
First meal out since 16th March last year.
No restaurants were smashed up in the consumption of this lunch

Cancelled cinema trip. Can't face it when infections are 35,000 a day and rising.
Mental health has collapsed this week. Can't even get a job interview. I fear that like the last few times I tried to escape it I'll have to go back to support work. They're the only types of jobs I ever get interviews for.

This Is Saturday - Wear A Smile
Yesterday: Decent day. Made it out for lunch but had a wobble on the way when I realised I'd forgotton hand sanitiser and we had none in the car. But all good in the end as my Sister In Law bought some.
Today: A quiet Saturday I hope: Zooming Mum this afternoon, Chinese for anniversary meal and TMUK Zoom tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.

So it's been a shitty week to say the least.
Minor constant irritation - ongoing work IT issues because our deskside support team can't follow instructions and our IT support is of course outsourced and fucking useless.
Real issue has been Gran's ongoing medical issue, so last Monday her alarm went off and they couldn't get hold of her so Elder T and I popped up in the wee small hours. She was stuck on her knees in front of her bed and couldn't get up and she was quite short of breath. We helped her into bed, stayed and made sure she was okay for an hour and left. Doctor the next day diagnosed an inner ear infection causing dizziness which was why she fell. My spider sense immediately calling bullshit on that being the sole reason.
Wednesday she's still not right so back up there and we get her admitted to Hospital. There's a build up of fluid, salts are low and she still can't get out of bed by herself. Visits each day from us both until covid restrictions are back in play and only Dad can see her.
This Wednesday we get told she is getting out so I take Suki up to see her and arrive about 7pm just as the ambulance that dropped her off departs. I go in the house and notice she is most definitely not any better than she was last I saw her and she was in her nightgown and dressing gown, so had been taken back from the hospital like that. Instant red flag as the bag of clothes she had which she was going to wear when she got out was untouched. Stayed with her until it was bedtime, when surprise, surprise she still couldn't get to her bed. So I helped her in and made sure she was alright before taking Suki home.
Dad is up the next morning to hers as of course she still can't get out of bed by herself. Riot act read with hospital staff and she is back in hospital. Transpires at no point in her stay had she gotten to the toilet and back unaided and a hospital bed has an array of fucking handholds and supports a normal bed doesn't have to help. She hadn't been seen by a particular team who should have before she was discharged. Absolutely fucking raging.
Getting a handrail fitted to her house and looking at what can be done regarding the bed situation, but at least now the right people have seen her.

She seems better now according to Dad, but as you can imagine it's been a frustrating week not really being able to do anything.
Oh and the boiler packed in, well the switch did so we had no central heating. Got the guy out to fix it who found another issue, one that meant the boiler was unsafe and disconnected from the gas. Now fixed, and a replacement boiler is being fitted on Monday. But aye, bit of a shite week.

You will get something, it just maddeningly might take a little time. I think we can all agree you going back to support work is a BAD idea, so don't entertain it. We are all pulling for you. |

Morning All!
It's Sunday - Praise the Lord.
Yesterday: Decentish day. Nice take away meal for our anniversary. Things went down hill in the evening, couple of falls and was really struggling by the end of the night. Should have given up and gone to bed sooner. Slept straight through till 6:30 but v achy this morning.
Today: All being well, going into the building for church this morning.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
