Rumors are it's going to be much more reasonably priced than Unicron

I know there was no Leo, but didn't MP Star Saber scratch the itch?

$200-250. Expect the same in £, whatever it turns out to be..

Victory Leo is quite big for a stretch goal isn't it? That's an entire second figure.
It feels like Haslab have realised $350 is about right for their stuff and you'd hope they'd realise Unicron was just too big and cumbersome to have the impact it was supposed to. If we're now at $80 for Rodimus you can see a really good Victory Sabre combo running $250. I'd go for that.
Mind you what I'd really love is the Zone Micromaster bases.

I just thought in general there wouldn't be enough interest but initial reaction here would suggest otherwise. I guess between people who didn't get the MP, people who want both and people who collect at a different scale there are plenty of buyers. I'll be observing from a safe distance; I got the MP, which is just as well, because I have no money anymore. Cursed offspring.

I know there was no Leo, but didn't MP Star Saber scratch the itch? I found MP Star Saber really dull. When did it come out? Subtract a couple of weeks and thats the last time I touched it. First MP to leave me cold. The lack of Victory Leo almost certainly didn't help. A current style generations one with Vic Leo though could be tempting.

Rumours to be taken with the large side of salt, but they have proven reliable before.

Of course what I'd really like is for this to be a Dinoking set, with the stretch goal being the Pretender shells. But the rumours will of course be right, and this will of course be Star Saber, because of course it will. Which is no bad thing - whilst I both have and like the Masterpiece I wouldn't say "no" to an update. Provided it doesn't forget the Brainmaster gimmick, that is. Which it probably will, because you know.
The big question is how this is going to be handled in the UK. One would assume it would be via Pulse UK, but given that they're currently failing to send out toys that can also be found on the shelves of Smyths one does have to wonder...

It'll be Galaxy Shuttle with Countdown's Rocket Base, just you watch.
To be honest, almost anything from the Victory line is going to be crazy tempting and difficult to resist.

I found MP Star Saber really dull. I mean it's perfectly fine, but hardly feels MP due to its simplicity. It really needed a more dynamic robot, the wrists and legs were too chunky. But let's be honest, other than size and the Brainmaster feature, it didn't add much more than the Robot Masters version and that had Victory Leo to pair with it.

It was the first MP to take the Animation model route and that was a mistake for me (and probably gave me an automatic dislike of the later animation accurate MPs) The original toy has lot of nice jet/spacecraft styling that makes it visually more interesting. If they had stuck with the toy detailing on animation proportions I'd have liked it more.

See, what we need to happen here is that this is Victory Sabre, it does absolutely fucking mental numbers and Hasbro sit up and say, "Hello, there's gold in them thar Japanese lines. What were we doing for Generations 23-24? Yeah, scrub that. I've got an idea..."

Not knowing anything about these characters, I don't want anything ridiculously huge (with Fort Max, Scorponok, Jetfire, and now the SS86 Dinobots, we got way too much of that). So leader is good.

I DEMAND a voice chip containing Star Dub dialogue, especially about how Victory Leo is dead but he is ok because his brain was transplanted to another body.

Say it were Star Saber with Leo as a stretch goal. What would people like it to be? Leader? Commander? Masterpiece 2.0? Both could be commander class and twice retail and it would still only be £320. That sounds about right assuming the brainmaster is made to be compatible or at least a silmilar size to Titanmasters. Even then Im not sure how that would be justified. Neither is that complicated where Hasbro could go crazy and add all sorts of detail and complex transformations.
