I know there's been a bit of chat about doing a zine in relation to the TF vhs releases. Well I spent some time last night after a messenger chat with Burns mocking these up,not quite exact as I need better font matches in a few places. Ultra Magnus from Botch the Crab TF logo pulled from a scan of the Arrival From Cybertron vhs on starlogged.

Thanks.
Will get a proper VHS cover so I can get the dimensions spot on, but a nice wee zine celebrating the TF VHS line would be nice.
Red clamshell VHS cases are a bugger to find, but clear cases and red spray paint are easy enough.

3 parts to VHS TF nostalgia for me: the same episodes watched again and again; the covers; and the final part which hasn't been discussed yet, I don't think, is the 'Secret Files of Teletraan 2'.
I can't remember for sure, but I think my 8 year old self didn't realise that there were dozens of episodes that I hadn't seen and I assumed the segments were made for the videos, so to me those clips were extraordinary world- building imagination fuel. Because of the cassettes I had, the Ultra Magnus one is burned on my memory. Even the stupid Autobot records asteroid spoke to me of vast possibilities.
'Forget about me. The shuttle has priority.' So heroic!
Hope we'll see them recreated in this zine in some way!

Found a half decent scan to firm up the template. I only eyeballed the grid layout and didn't count, and was only 2 out. Not bad. Anyhoo

Will probably want to look into reversable covers as an option, given the array of designs.

Will there be an ad for Robotix and Bigfoot & The Muscle Machines?

Will there be an ad for Robotix and Bigfoot & The Muscle Machines? Martin Ralph had suggested some kind of trailers style content.

Although they would probably come at the end, as I think for the most part that's where they were.

Ooh! If Ultra Magnus is on the cover, then presumably that means he doesn't appear in the story inside at all.

Magnus was just a placeholder image for the cover, not sure what to pick for the final, but the synopsis thing I did for the back, does have a vague story attached and he would feature. So I don't know maybe Metroplex or Trypticon if we went down that route.
Now to be fair, Optimus is in Desertion of the Dinobots and is on the cover...
