My friend thinks it'll be a wingfinger repaint, and have something to do with falling in the lava. This makes a lot of sense, except- we have a lava-themed fossilizer, and The Rumor Guy said he'd be an Airazor retool.

I'd certainly prefer it over a lazy Airazor repaint. Which means we'll be getting the Airazor repaint.

Does the Tigatron blurb not indicate that there will be no more Beasts in this collection?

That Terrorsaur is both tragic and wonderful at the same time. I must have it.

I understand "disappointing" now.
It's a really good job turning Airazor into a believable Terrorsaur. Not long ago it would have been fantastic. But it's not as good as they coud do with is own mold (which has enough repaints to sell), and will probably be used as an excuse not to do a better one.

It looks like his chest/head/beast head have a similar mechanic to what should have been given to skywarp

Tigertron is.... i dont know. I dont mind the mutant head, used to have a lot of fun with those. But the Tiger head is disturbing. It almost looks too realistic while also looking like Hasbro cut the head of one of those cheap plastic animal toys and slapped it on Tigertrons chest.

daft queestion, are the golden chapter thingies only on pulse or do we think theyll get a release in our normal retailers?

If you're talking about stories, it's a hasbro headcanon that doesn't exist outside of these blurb snippets. If you're talking about the toys (which hasbro refers to as "chapters"), they are Amazon exclusives which pulse is selling small quantities of.

This is actually ridiculous and brilliant, and does its best to make up for the rather ignoble send-off he got in the cartoon. (Whilst I never really cared for him - he always felt like a poundshop Starscream - it still felt a bit cheap.) But yeah, I kind of like this - it's a much better re-use of the Airazor mold than I was anticipating. I may actually end up picking him up. The main disappointment is that he wasn't a red repaint of Wingfinger, which would've been even better/worse.

And I actually quite like him being a knock-off Starscream. Because Starscream was generally terrible at it, and Terrorsaur isn't even half as smart as Starscream.
I'm pretty sure this Terrorsaur will look better as Lazorbeak/Hydra, Fractyl, Terranotron, and Hydra, largely because we're used to the wings on them.
If we don't get a Fractyl/Packrat twopack, we riot.
