What single appliance/gadget/wonder of modern technology do you rely upon the most?

My spectacles. Without them, I would be severely disabled and my favourite hobby (reading) would be painful to do.

Similar to the above. My contacts. HATE specs. The kind I use are keep in for a whole month ones. Never feel 'em. Even on a night shift. It's like having normal vission. Some of the medical equipment we've got's pretty nifty. Defibs for example. Computers are becoming pretty vital to most folkes aren't they? I like my TV/Movies.
My penis enlarger's fairly important as well.

Spectacles. Like Ralph I'd be pretty fucked without them.

You know, I had even considered my glasses. So, yes, I would have to say them. (This gives me an idea for another topic of discussion, actually).
I can't bear the thought of contact lenses. The though of anything going near my eyes drives me mad.
Actually, Shockprowl, with that talk of penis enlargement I have to ask how you actually install your contact lenses!

Much the same G, I couldn't use contacts so I stick with the glasses even if at times they can be a bit inconvenient.

The only inconveniences for me are when I shower, shave and when the dogs decides to lick them (usually just after I've cleaned them!).

Sports for me, when I am out running or playing badminton. Used to be worse in the days I played football regularly though.

Hmm... blimy - I'm going to sound pretty banal - but I guess my laptop and my cell phone. I work on the internet and never set foot in an office (last office job I had was in 2002 or so, last time I worked in a job where you had to go in was as a pizza hut waiter) - nowadays I'm in the "office" maybe once every month, sometimes once every two months. So I guess the internet and my cell phone win - I don't make very much money, but I'd have ZERO without these two gizmos Another important bit of modern technology is...electricity! This might sound crazy - so let me explain. Routinely, I live in Warsaw proper (where electricity works fine), but often I visit my folks for prolonged periods of time - particularly when the weather is nice as it is now, because their house is in a lovely pit of nature just outside of Warsaw... But this particularl little down didn't have working electricity AT ALL until - I think 1968 - and it was the kind of wiring that would crash if the wind blew the wrong way... I still remember how the power would go out in my folk's place for days and days - weeks sometimes! They finally caught up with 19th century UK and installed electricity that doesn't go out at the slightest gust of wind about two years ago - and now it works like a charm. We've only have maybe 2 power outages in the last year. Other than the above... hmm.... All of the technological wonders that make it easier to cook up a great feast! I love eating, and so I am especially thankful for all of the contraptions that make it possible to eat like a King without being one Pete Only

Because I've never needed glasses I'd have to say my computer. I browse the internet for things to buy, I visit forums (like this one) and I also use my PC to write stuff on (I spend quite a bit of time on Microsoft Word writing up one thing or another). Apart from that I would say my personal stereo or Ipod as I also like listening to music.
