I don't have enough thoughts on any individual trailer from all the ones posted today, so I'll just summarize my main though here, since this one embodies it best.
I am living for this "Anything goes, and every live action series is canon and part of a vast multiverse" direction that Arrowverse established with Crisis, and that WB is just full scale embracing.
It's allowing everything to be so much more creative, and it really sets it apart from the MCU.

Also, we've taken so long to get to this point, i genuinely keep forgetting this movie is a thing that's happening.

I honestly could not give a flying shits about multiverses in any medium. I'm only interested in this to see Keaton as Batman again.

it really sets it apart from the MCU. Not any more, it doesn't. Have you seen the trailer to Spider-Man: No Way Home? And the post-credit sequence in Venom 2? Martin

I couldn't give a shit about Michael Keaton, I absolutely hate the Burton era. There's not one redeeming part of it, except that we probably wouldn't have Batman The Animated Series if it didn't exist. But the Multiverse aspect is what allows him to come back. It's what lets us have Tyler Hoechlin be Superman while we're still stuck with Henry Cavill (WB required the CW to kill off characters they were going to use in movies, or would forbid them from using others that they *might* use. Which is supposedly why Arrow used Ray Palmer instead of Ted Kord). It's what keeps the door open for Lucy Lawless to be Wonder Woman somewhere, even while Gal Gadot is still WW. It means they don't care about being one massive arrow straight continuity, and lets stories be stories. it really sets it apart from the MCU. Not any more, it doesn't. Have you seen the trailer to Spider-Man: No Way Home? And the post-credit sequence in Venom 2? Martin I have not seen venom 2 as I'm not going to movie theaters again because I'm in texas and my governor wants to kill us all with covid. But I'm aware of the Spiderman movie, and it's just them trying to copy the success of Into the Spiderverse. I still think it's different than what WBs is doing with DC.

I'm aware of the Spiderman movie, and it's just them trying to copy the success of Into the Spiderverse. It's a bit more than that. The No Way Home trailer shows that Peter Parker and Dr Strange messing with the multiverse brings Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus amd the Goblin from the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man films into the MCU. The Venom 2 mid-credits scene shows reality warping and bringing Venom face-to-face with MCU's Peter Parker. So that's three live-action timelines interacting. And then next year we've got 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' on the way.
X-Men's Quicksilver showing up in Wandavision may or may not also be a hint of things to come. Martin

It's such a shame that Ezra Miller's continued involvement pretty much ruins it. For me at least. It took soooooo long for them to start filming, WB could easily recast them.

Martin learnt on this week's Zoom call that the "Let's get nuts" in this trailer wasn't Michael Keaton homaging the Let's Get Nuts Mix played by Batman early on in the Lego Batman Movie.

I so desperately hoped this would be good.
Every time Keaton is on screen, it is. When he's not...less so.
And fuck me that is some fucking atrocious cg. Matrix 2 bad.

Ezra Miller is also not good enough to anchor the film in multiple roles, (that's before you bring in their horrible real life activities).

I saw The Flash film via Other Means as the DCEU ends with Aqua Conan 2, which I will see next week. Flash is the only one I had not seen.
Can't complain as due to *cough* it cost me nowt but...dreadful. First half hour was ok and then the script fell off a cliff. Words fail me!

Ezra Miller is not a good enough actor to pull of multiple Flashes/Barry Allens. How anyone thought he was, is beyond me.

Not even a good actor could have saved that script. Not helped by repeated references to Back to the Future, which is a masterclass in how to write a time travel paradox film.
