1/60th Scale VF-1(For the record 1/60th scale puts these at about 1 and two-thirds times the height of 1984 Starscream). You can never have too many scales and sculpts of Valkyrie fighters on the market, and much as I do love the sheer size of the 1/48ths I'm not averse to them in a slightly smaller size. So it gladdened my heart to see Yamato return to the 1/60th scale and turn out something with so many improvements on their first try at this scale. And the fact that they are throwing in a full set of Super and Strike components, and three complete sets of ordnance just makes it better. Sorely tempted to start ebaying some stuff to scrape together the cash to pick this up in a few months time. Karl

As you well might imagine - these will be mine Somehow I am not entirely surprised. I'm tempted by the -1S, the only problem is that I will then be tempted by the -1A's as they come out, for purposes of having a properly constituted UN Spacy flight.... I know how that works. I still haven't managed to get the funds together to get myself a YF-19. (I was going to pick one up in April, but then the Tread came along, and after so many years I wasn't going to pass up the chance at owning one of those.) Karl

Well - I have just decided to accept the fact that the 1/60 line of VF-1s will now consume me. It's actually not that bad, because beyond the 1S Fokker and the 1J Hikaru (with Armor), all of my other 1/48s are the "special" kind - Stealth, Low Viz 2 and the like - so I do indeed need to be getting a Max, Milia and the whole nine yards and might as well happily get the 1/60s. Besides - the inclusion of SS parts off the bat is a big plus - pete

I'm swithering about the 1/60ths. They look very nice, but whether I need a fourth -1S Fokker type is more than a little questionable. (Especially with all this Mospeada stuff out there at the moment....) Karl

You have a VF-19 Kai??? I would LOVE to have one, but preferebly a remould of the Yamato 1/60 yf-19... In fact... hmm... maybe If I don't sell my spare YF-19 I might just try and have it retooled as a Kai anyways - did you manage to get the YF-21?? Mine should arrive in a few days and I'm well excited! Pete

You have a VF-19 Kai??? I would LOVE to have one, but preferebly a remould of the Yamato 1/60 yf-19... That would make for a much better toy than the Bandai version, that much is for certain. I've had mine for a good few years, bought it at my first Transforce. In honesty it isn't worth what I paid for it, Bandai didn't really lavish any care at all on it, leaving it nowhere near in the class with the stuff they are doing for Frontier. In the end I couldn't afford to pick it up. CMS's Legioss and Tread had carved into the budget to such an extent that it really wasn't possible on final analysis. (In a straight contest between Guld Goa Bowman and Stick Bernard, Stick was always going to walk it for me). Karl

Pity Mine just arrived yesterday and I finally got around to taking it out of the box. So far, I've only installed the stabilizer part to attach it to the display stand. To do that, however, it is neccessary to open the underside... so I have to "start" transforming it... Oh man! That belly has more panels than I can possibly fathom - shifting this way and that! Also, there is a bit of a Beast Wars vibe insofar as you have to kind of massage the panels to move them.... Haven't transformed him yet - I usually read the instruction booklet through a few times to get a better understanding for what awaits me... But - happy to have him Anyways - pick him up when you can You'll be happy. Pete
