Morning All!
It's Monday - 2021 Week 46
Yesterday: BUSY morning, but really pleased with how it went and how I coped physically. Tired rest of day but not as completely flattened as the last few days.
Today: Jonathan is 15! FIFTEEN!!! How did that happen? He's got recorder and college, while Liz is teaching twice. Going out for pizza tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Are you doing any warm-up/cool down exercises before your run?

You might want to look at doing some light stretching before running and for after the run, a small walk. Maybe finish the run and have a wee 5 minute walk to the house. Keeps things loose.

Morning All!
It's Tuesday!
Yesterday: BUSY! Usual Monday fun and games plus Jonathan's Birthday, including a trip out to Pizza Express for Dinner, PLUS the teching church's monthly prayer meeting .... which mucked up my netbook for reasons I'm unsure about: good job I was on two machines at once! Meanwhile the fog that descended on Swindon early evening played havoc with the CMT so I was rather tired and uncomfortable all evening.
Today: Quieter. Please be quieter!
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Keeps things loose. +1 for the walking! I was told 5 minute walk either side of a run, and if you aren't having any particular problems with that then no need for stretches. So far, I've been fine with just the walks.

One week on, I am somehow still testing negative for COVID!
Haven't even been taking any precautions, the flat is too small for it anyway. Wife has been suffering the most with something like a strong cold, but she seems to be coming out of it, Charlotte is happy to be off school and watching Netflix and playing on the Switch. It has thankfully been a relatively easy time overall.

Yay! Glad all going OK in the plague flat. How much longer are you all in isolation for?

One more week!
In theory, according to Berlin regulations I am allowed to be out and about because I have no symptoms and am vaccinated, but I think that's nonsense. Could very easily be infected and asymptomatic and I don't want to spread anything, and self-isolation isn't that hard.

All part of the learning experience. -Ralph

Jen (now my wife) and I met two years ago today. One day after I had decided to move back to Scotland from NW England due to being in a hellish job and living in Drug Dealer Central. My Big Move to restart my life had been a terrible disaster so the just-forming plan was to do an overnight runner.
Obviously, that plan changed.

Went to Asdaland for weekly shop. Knee was on fire just hobbling round the aisles. Bugger.
Didn't spot anyone other than Jen or I wearing masks.

Morning All!
It's Thursday!
Yesterday: A Bad Day physically: lost two hours start of the night, another at the end, was in pain from the word go thanks the early morning mist, had a pain in my right ankle and my face hurt. Didn't even try to do anything in the morning, went back to bed for an hour and a bit. Unfortunately Liz had to wake me to get me to confirm my identity to the Motorbility people on the phone so I got up for a bit and stayed up for lunch but still struggled. Fall on the way back to bed, fall soon after I got up two hours later. One of those days.
On this particular Thursday: Shopping due in, J off to College, Liz is teaching twice, the she's off for four nights away at the seaside. HOPEFULLY 3 Epics and another book due. Teching 1pm. Taskmaster 9pm.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Burns has come down with the lurgy despite little contact with other people and mask wearing. Lateral flow is negative and I can still taste but of course panic has set in.
Ugh.

Have somehow managed to hurt my ankle. Could barely put any weight on it this morning, no idea what I have done. Strapped up the now, managed to limp outside with Suki for her two walks of the day.

Along with the rest of the team, offered lucrative Chrimbo season overtime* at work but had to say no even though I could really do with the money. Between work and study I am now pulling 60 hours a week and I would like to see my wife sometime.
In other news, a good thing about working from home is that when lurgied up I can do it from bed and not have to take sick days.
