I avoided a ton of spoilers, but man I wish I could have seen this one knowing absolutely zilch about it. I'm rather disappointed that Venom got zapped back to his reality.
I was rather looking forward to the most high strung movie Peter having to wrangle all of...that. |

Or they could have just not had an unnecessary linking of canons. Can we not be invested in stories for their own worth instead of this cross marketing?

The linking of the MCU to the Venom/Morbius universe was not necessary to the story, but was still fun.
The linking of the MCU to the other universes was totally necessary to make possible the story they wanted to tell, and it worked brilliantly. Martin |

I thought it made a nice change. We've had eight Spider-Man films in the last twenty years, that one was a breath of fresh air. If the Spider-Man stories had their own worth I would agree, but how many of the other seven are just more of the same stuff? |

Sorry, my context was what was with the current, er, context? So we agree.
Although, when you say the story they wanted to tell, there was still too much typical mass market script divergence as usual.
Poe could have stalled the First Order much more effectively than doing a comedy bit is all I'm saying.
