Morning All!
It's Monday - 2021 Week 51.
Yesterday: Ugh. Having lost 2 hours sleep at the start of the night and struggled to get across the room, going into church wasn't an option so I stayed at home and teched the Zoom while Jonathan went in with Liz and sat with Catherine in the building passing messages between us and the sound guy! Run in could have been better with the internet fluctuating (fortunately in time to reboot the hub) and the hdmi port on the TV used by the netbook (and firestick) dying. Struggled to get off in the afternoon and then woke early which was enough to sound a small warning to me. Sure enough the head had a massive wobble later in the day. L made it down to Weston just fine.
Today: Much better night's sleep, thank you Lord. Teching 8am and 10am, when I'm also leading. J going to his aunt's to help her out. Chinese left overs lunch, Indian tea.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.

In Wales we were told to wait for invitations for our Covid boosters, and not attempt to book them ourselves or just turn up in hope. I was duly summoned and received my shot of Moderna today, exactly six months to the day since my second dose of Pfizer. I'm guessing they had me down to receive my booster today long before Omicron was a thing, and just left it as it was rather than alter the date. Had to get a train across town this time, unlike previously when I could walk to it. But I'm very grateful to get it, and privileged to live in a country where we get three doses before much of the world gets its first dose (which isn't right, but that's not a reason to refuse it when it's offered).
I've done all my pre-Christmas travelling and socialising (work lunches, large family gatherings, theatre visits, haircut and dental hygienist), and will be dialling it down for the next month or so as Omicron sweeps in across Wales.

It's Tuesday
Yesterday: A good day, very good by recent standards. After Sunday went wrong mentally Monday was the best day my head had had in weeks and body wasn't that bad either, given the time of year. Sorted the TV's HDMI problem, which turned out to be more complicated than one socket going kaput but then had a ridiculously simple solution! Lunch of left over Chinese, dinner was an Indian (Lamb Tikka Dansak for me, Chicken Korma for J who has got himself in a bit of a rut there) Deadpool Epic arrived. Caught the second Porridge Christmas special, The Desperate Hours, but I can't see the first, No Way Out, listed anywhere. That'll need to be DVD.
Unfortunately the day was topped out by not getting off till 2am!
Today: Not sure. Much more achy today. Indian leftovers lunch, pizza tea. Hopefully get some Doctor Who in. And it's my favourite Airwolf episode Fallen Angel on tonight so I'll be watching that!

I think it's too late for any big announcements now. There would be uproar. The last time they could have done it was with the big nothing announcement yesterday, and even that was way too late. The government seem determined now to just 'soldier on' regardless now.

Though that may have more to do with being in winding-down-work mode than the vaccine. Half day tomorrow, in order to see The Matrix Resurrections in the afternoon. Technically working on Thursday but probably knock off early. Then officially out of the office until 4 Jan., and I won't be taking my laptop home with me, to keep my little home a work-free zone. But knowing me I'll probably get bored and go into the office for a change of scene, to do some work when it's quiet between Christmas and New Year. Martin |

It's Wednesday
Yesterday: A struggle to start with following the loss of two plus hours at the start of the night. Felt better after an hour and a bit asleep in the morning and then another two in afternoon. Zoomed Liz early evening and then settled in for an evening of TV: Airwolf Fallen Angel, Blake's 7 Blake on it's 40th anniversary and the first 4 episodes of Planet of the Daleks. My ToyFu package arrived as did a mystery box from Birmingham....
Awake till gone 2 again :-( and then woken in the night when one of my toys fell over repeatedly setting it's electronics off!
Today: Will finish Planet off this morning. J due at Grandparents for jobs. L due home c lunch. We need to do Christmas food order for tomorrow (been booked for nearly 2 months). Chinese for tea and homegroup tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray Liz gets home safely and I sleep better tonight. Pray we stay protected from the virus.

It's Thursday - Christmas Eve Eve
Yesterday: Bit of a physical and mental rollercoaster. Liz safely home but that meant we were all adjusting to being 3 in a house again. Much better night's sleep but plenty of pain this morning.
Today: L & J out somewhere this morning/lunch. Food order due 4pm. Need to do some prep for tmw am and Saturday.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep better and my head copes with the planned dentist trip tmw. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
