My word, I haven't updated since October! 125 RID Legion Strongarm 126 Titan Heroes Bumblebee 127 Legacy Minerva 128 Legacy Galaxy Shuttle 129 Authentics Bravo Bumblebee 130 Optimus Prime - a cute, cheap little guy from Game, which I don't know much about 131 Bumblebee A.W.E. Sriker 132 Legacy Dead End 133 Legacy TM2 Megatron 134 Flip Changer Heatwave the Fire Bot 135 Studio Series Starscream (#72, from Bumblebee) 132 BW Reissue Megatron And just yesterday from a charity shop: 133 RID15 Hyper Flip Bumblebee Any further acquisitions in the remaining hours of the year seem unlikely, so that's a final tally of 133. Vastly down on the last couple of years, but not surprising considering the lack of Botbots!

I did that with mine and it blew my mind. My Transformers buying was well down this year, but Fans Toys upped their game which compensated and then MotU, bits of SW and the Who stuff. I now just have a big generations list of stuff not yet bought. I need to calm it down, which I say every year.

The state of the economy and the Tories fucking about with tax means that a job that paid well a year ago...no longer does. Still, cutting back on hobby spending is not exactly a hardship and being more selective about what I pick up is not a bad thing at all. -Ralph

This is the problem isn't; other collections with ongoing releases like your epics. If you combine it all it becomes ridiculous. Magazine subscriptions and things like Big Finish CDs add more on for me too. I'm thinking I need to close off some collections; that constant need to keep up with buying the latest releases in ongoing sets is draining.

I'm trying to cut back. Even the wholesale costs I can access are nearly double the retail prices a few years ago. The lesser quality of things like Cyberverse combined with increasing prices has made it easy to stop buying those from new. (I shall have to see what the Earthspark toys are like.) And I've never happened to have bought much of Studio Series, so that's now mostly SS86 and characters I don't have. However, they keep bringing out such good stuff in Generations! Even there, I'm passing on some, especially repaints, and the higher priced Collaborative stuff.

I haven't bought any transformers this year, though have a few preorders for next year. My only toy purchases are:
1. Make Toys Thunder Erebus 2. A transforming mobility scooter (for a family member) - it changes from scooter to folded-up scooter at the press of a button!

I'm thinking I need to close off some collections; that constant need to keep up with buying the latest releases in ongoing sets is draining. Same here! I have actually started compiling lists!!! I need to cut back in general, which is fine. I can afford to turn the heating on so less pennies on hobbies is not a problem. The purpose of the lists is to keep me on track with what I actually want and cut down on impulse/random purchases so I can stay on my new (reduced) budgets. -Ralph

Definitely. It could be the Sinclair C5 bot in a new body. Although the red colour is slightly reminiscent of Scooter, the Guardian Gobot.

Read 37 first. Standing Core Hot Rod next to Legacy Kickback imediatly made me think of payback for what happened in the battle of Autobot City. Yes, it was Kup, but it's one of the only things we can blame Hot Rod for in that whole battle.

Ooh let's see what I got last year: 1. D-325 Doryu CIB (completing my Dinoforce!) 2. Studio Series 86 Hot Rod 3. G1 Dreadwind 4. G1 Darkwing 5. G1 Submarauder 6. JAFCON Optimus Prime (MIB) 7. G2 Blade (MOSC) 8. G2 Hot Foor (MOSC) 9. Korean Gelshark 10. Haslab Victory Saber
3-9 bought at TFNation. Also in the post that should have arrived in November are: 1. C-353 Big Powered (CIB) 2. ehobby black Megatron (MIB) 3. Beast Wars God Neptune
Won the auctions for them on Buyee quite close together and foolishly decided to save on shipping by combining them. They arrived in the UK at the end of Oct, it took HMRC over 2 weeks to send me a letter saying they needed an invoice, sent that back and it wasn't processed by the time it hit Parcelforce's 30 day limit, so back to Japan it went. It's back in the UK again now (since the 21st Dec) 'Awaiting customs' but still nothing through. Contacting them today to see what's going on. Probably should have waited until Christmas was done before getting it sent again. Just CUTA me and let me have my toys!

Ah yes Jaymz mentioned them at TFNation. I'll check them out. Paying upfront does sound a lot better.
Just checked the tracking info and they raised a customs charge today. They are sending me a letter with it. I'm sure this all used to be online before.
