Morning All!
It's Tuesday
One Month Ago Today it was Christmas Day!
Yesterday: Morning went OK, Black Zarak turned up before the end of the mid morning meeting which meant I could go to bed safe from the threat of being disturbed..... only for the door to go with someone wrongly trying to deliver food to the house. Lunch was good, decent sleep, nice evening. Got some sorting and moving about done which was good. Couldn't get off till gone 2 which was less good.
Today: L teaching, J College, food due.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Did the awesome The Dungeon live experience this morning on the South Bank. Amazing, barely noticed that all the actors/performers in period costume were wearing face coverings for Covid. Surreal in the case of the one talking us through the Plague, mind.
They had an animatronic Brian Blessed for Henry VIII.
I had to sit in the torture chair.

Tonight, Neil Gaiman’s ‘The Ocean at the End of the Lane’ at the Duke of York’s Theatre. My first West End show in about two years. Truly excellent. Full audience standing ovation.
And so ends Martin’s holiday. Back to work tomorrow...

Grrr! My new hard drive appears to have died. Thankfully I dont think Ive lost anything too important, (upside of being ill I havent done much of anything) but I'd spent quite a while backing up most of my old drive on to it and organising photo albums and streamlining a few bits and pieces for easier access.
I opted for it because even the people moaning about it being slow tended to agree it was reliable. Oh well.

I've done them in the past when I've only had one or two birds visiting in the hour, but that won't be the case now as I have over a dozen sparrows constantly present in one dense bush down the far end. My difficulty will be counting them as they keep moving and some are inside the bush rather than perched on and around it at any given moment.

I have effectively been in lockdown since late November (other than a couple of brief in-and-out jaunts to Tesco, not been inside anywhere other than my house) but for the sake of my mental health I have needed to start venturing out again as I have been losing the plot. Not helped by the many hours working and studying in said house. Went to local cafe yesterday with The Wife. I was screaming inside for the first 15 mins and then I was ok. Lunch out with the in-laws today.
I need to build myself up for March. First comic/mart/con related event since before the pandemic. First multi-hour public transport journey since before the pandemic. Possibly even first time in a bar since before pendemic.
So February will be 'back in society' training. What a strange time we live in.

Roughly 20 house sparrows (they won't stop moving to let me count them exactly), and two woodpigeons picking up birdseed dropped on the ground by the sparrows.
The birds were in hiding when it was cold and cloudy but came out as soon as the sun did.
