1: Hamilton. Still awesome. Saw it from one of the boxes. Misses a chunk of stage but the view of what you can see is fantastic.

Off the mark with a show at Nottingham Contemporary Art Gallery (which gives a bit of a clue as to the level of pretentiousness on show)
1. Nordic Giants - Post rock wall of sound stuff, with a series of films projected over them, which most are not half as clever as they seem to think they are. Music good and absorbing, video distracting.
Not helped by the silver haired gent next to me who was dad dancing, possibly drunk and who kept uttering "Wow" and "Amaazing" every three minutes or so and gently bouncing off the people around him

1. Hamilton 2. Bryan Adams - another long delayed show that I saw a few months back.
3. Hella Mega Tour - Almost 3 years since buying my ticket I went to Huddersfield. almost 100% Greatest Hits show. And no complaints from me*. Weezer threw in one or two new songs and Fall Out Boy might have too. But Green Day was all hits. Kicked off with American Idiot which after this week felt a bit more ferocious than when I heard it in 09 and 10.
*about the show. The crowd controls were shocking. Ive seen a few people complain it wouldnt have taken much for it to become a Hillsborough type disaster. Initially I thought that was a ridiculous overstatement, but honestly the more I think back if a crushing event had happened in the concourse or more so as we left the stadium, there was no way out, no way to relieve the pressure. There needed to be some kind of one way system to control the flow of people leaving, but there was nothing.
