Also, the CDU reads "6 to collect" and there are six in the pictured case, so probably one of each in the box, quite likely packed in a particular location in every case.

And don't forget all those Loot Crate style mystery boxes. I thought it was clear at this point that that business model was no longer viable!

I can't ever get more than the same two or three over and over and over, when the blind bags are three bucks.
These mix in non-TF which I don't care about at all, for ten.
I'd never even get a TF set, let alone all of them for anything less than a small fortune. Surprise sets only work for collectors who have friends who are also collectors, that they can trade doubles with. I've never had that.

So what's the difference between these and normal Micromachines cars/playsets apart from a Transformer label?

We wouldn't buy them if they didn't have the TF logo

So what's the difference between these and normal Micromachines cars/playsets apart from a Transformer label? I don't think we know. But presumably the TF sets come with a TF vehicle and possibly the set itself is based on a movie location, while the non-tf sets are licensed sportscars and generic locations.

So one set comes with either a Starscream jet or a generic private jet. Did I read that right?

Balls. Movie or not these are going to be essential aren't they. Imagine how good a G1 set would be.

Also, if there's two versions of each set and only one is a TF one, they're going to be hard to find.

Energon Starscream! And that article also shows that there are codes that can be used to identify what's in each package. Which is handy.

That Bumblebee playset looks fantastic though am amused that the Transformers will be manning all those gun emplacements...in vehicle mode.

Ah, that one was in the original leaked images. I was hoping it would be real. Looks amazing but just imagine if that was the Ark. I really want to know how well these sets scale with the WfC Micromasters. They need proper bases like the G1 ones had.

Phil's link leads to a link on Amazon.
Now I just need to find somewhere selling the blind boxes so I can get a case of them.

I mean the original Micro Machines were about 1/2 the size of Micromasters, maybe smaller, so I don't think they'll interact that well, unfortunately. At least in terms of driving on the ramps. They should be able to manage the guns, though. If not, Titan Masters would probably be able to do it.
But yeah, an Ark would be amazing. Or an Autobot City for the cars to race through. We'll Mission City instead.

Give us planets!
An actual planet shaped set, that opens up to different environments themed to that planet.
Earth- A human styled city, or the southwest
Cybertron- a cybertronian themed city or battlefield
Nebulos- A futuristic city
Animatros- A jungle
Velocitron- A futuristic racetrack
Unicron- A unicron guts themed set
They can all be linked with spacebridge ramp sets. You can create one big micromachine racetrack. Perhapse each World is supplemented with additional sets carrying it's theme. Like Moon Base 1 and Moon Base 2 for Cybertron, Unicron's head for Unicron...
