The first episode slower pace reflecting life on Tatooine pretty well. Couple of things for Ep.2... {Spoiler}I hope he ditches Leia back home in Ep.3. Having the dependent youngling tag along for protection is a little similar in premise to Mandalorian.
I mean, it's nice that it'll probably link up Leia knowing about Obi-Wan's whereabouts in Rogue One/Ep.IV, by him saying something like 'if you ever need me, I'll be here', but if it's for the whole series it's kinda lazy to fall back on a similar premise.
Obi-Wan should have said "I'm here to rescue you" when he went into her cell.
Obi-Wan should have said "From now on you do as I tell you" when on the streets.
And I don't think he's said "Hello There!" yet?
Over dramatisation of him finally using the force was dumb.
It is almost plausible that Obi-Wan hasn't heard of Vader being alive, as much as we like to think of him being this big intimidating figure head of The Empire, why would someone living like a hermit in a Hutt controlled planet of the Outer Rim be exposed to such things?
A shame they ruined the Ep.2 closing reveal through mentioning the actor in publicity stuff.
And my wishlist- please don't respond confirming that these will/won't be in it! I'm still hoping for a Qui-Gon appearance and more importantly Darth Maul.
Timeline wise, Solo was 10BBY, this is 9BBY so only a year later. It stands to reason that given knowledge of Obi-Wan's surfacing on Daiyo will be known in criminal underworld circles that it would filter up to the head of the Crimson Dawn.
If we get a Vader vs Maul fight I might just explode.

No reason Maul couldnt appear though even if he cant meet Kenobi. {Spoiler}Also trying to remember if A New Hope opening scenes still make sense if Leia has already met Kenobi. Enjoyed the first two episodes, but that first one does move slowly. I can see why the released 1 and 2 together.

My eyes are still stuck in the back of my head from rolling because of that incedibly naff chase scene in the woods.
Otherwise, I enjoyed it.

I have a horrible prediction that when Obi-Wan meets Vader that he will be hit by Force Lightning to age him up, thus 'explaining' how he ages savagely by the time of 'A New Hope'. Just like how Palpatine got aged up in Episode III.
Symmetry. Like a poem. It rhymes.
Uncle Owen will have to get hit with even more Force Lightning though. Either that or he becomes a raging alcoholic between this show and 'A New Hope'.

Noooo... Palpatine wasn't aged, he just dropped his force illusion to hide how disfigured the dark side had made him over time!!! At least, that's my head canon.
As for Owen, you can make a great Blue Russian with that milk.

But now you won't get to see the bit where someone just lightly taps a stormtrooper in the face/helmet and makes him loose his balance uncontrollably.

Ep.5 I really don't understand why Third Sister was left alive by Vader. She's force sensitive and a traitor. Vader would have no qualms in disposing of her.
I do enjoy seeing Vader do his thing though. This series is really giving me what I thought we'd get from episode 3, based on Obi Wan telling Luke that Vader hunted down the Jedi, I've been waiting for it for 35 years.

{Spoiler}Arrogance and assuming she would just die from the wound.
Vader is for all his skills a fairly blunt instrument.

A very enjoyable show and my current double bill of this and Ms Marvel makes Disney+ feel like good value.
The thing currently being talked about in spoilers was weak, though.

After they did such a good job of creating Luke Skywalker in The Book of Boba Fett, I don't understand why they didn't de-age Hayden Christensen in this week's episode.

After they did such a good job of creating Luke Skywalker in The Book of Boba Fett, I don't understand why they didn't de-age Hayden Christensen in this week's episode. I thought they both looked really weird in the flashback and wondered why they hadn't done a better job of it. Then I wondered whether it really was a flashback or, more accurately, only a flashback. Perhaps it suggests that they are still living their past interactions.

Don't over think it Rich. De-aging effects can only do so much.

Spoiler After they did such a good job of creating Luke Skywalker in The Book of Boba Fett, I don't understand why they didn't de-age Hayden Christensen in this week's episode. Spoiler I think its a special effect that improves in effect the greater the age gap.
At what 16 or 17 years, I dont think the effect would have been significantly better than what we got and would have cost an awful lot more.
Plus I suspect they just wanted Kenobi and Annakin onscreen together, no CG or vader helmet in the way. Bit of nostalgia for the prequel fans.

Finished watching Obi-Wan last night. That pressed all the right buttons for me. Mando was fantastic and I loved Boba Fett too, but I think anything with a direct connection to the original trilogy gets lifted to another level for me.

I never got past episode 2 and that was a struggle to get that far. Awful in every conceivable way. I haven't seen such a lifeless and inept production for a very long time.

Normally I prefer for Star Wars media to not fill in the gaps we can infer ourselves (problem with the prequels and Solo was they tried to explain every throw away detail that Lucas included in the OT for world building), but when it comes to seeing the galaxy under the empire and Vader at his worst I'm happy to make the exception!
(And Tag and Bink obvs)

I enjoyed Kenobi, someone has taken the episodes and edited down into a film, I have downloaded it but not watched it yet.
