Morning All!
It's Monday 2022 Week 17 & my last full week of being 48!
Yesterday: Decent morning at church. But mid service had a rather alarming flailing arm caused by muscle spasms which was very sudden and quite prolonged. The fire drill at the end used up any physical movement I had left. Couldn't sleep in the afternoon. Guinea Pigs arrived late afternoon and are fab.
Today: Back to normal: L working, J College, me leading at 10am. And it's payday!
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Bit of a shock with my pay packet this morning. The NI rise has taken a rather bigger chunk than I had anticipated, which is a great help with all the cost of living/energy rises (not). Going to have to rethink my spending somewhat. Need to cancel a few planned things this month! Not sure how to make this work.

:-(
Despite working for actuaries for 10plus years I can never get Tax and NI Calcs quite right.
Our budget is changing quite a bit for car related reasons. Pulse's slightly variable dates has made budgeting a little difficult

Right, that's plans for time off in May and replacements for phone and trainers cancelled. Thanks, Boris, for your giant tax hike and 54% increase in power costs in the same month. Good times. Never run out of money instantly on pay day before. Also rather cancels out the pay rise I got for switching area of work.
Thanks fuck I can do plenty of overtime when the degree is finished.

Head kept caving in so wondered round an empty toy shop for 20 mins without buying anything. Going to try another go at a nap.

"8mm video head cleaner cassette". Of course! Only you could go specifically to a car boot for such a niche item from the past and would find it!!! -Ralph It honestly doesnt happen often. Its not quite as random as it sounds. A dealer was bellowing rather too loudly a few months back. "Cheapest dead people tat at the market" and "dead people tat" does sadly make up a large percentage of carboot selling. And cleaning equipment for dead media formats is the exact type of tat that does get swept up by house clearances after the family have taken anything of sentiment or value. Having said that I didnt expect to find it first time and thankfully it seems to have been a "tat clearout" rather than "dead people tat".

Morning All!
It's Tuesday
Yesterday: Think day went OK. Head still a bit bothered by the arm stuff on Sunday. Lost most of another tooth during dinner, that's THREE that need attention/extracting now. Leant that we have a Guinea Pig who "Popcorns", which is apparently the Guinea Pig equivalent on Binkying.
Today: L teaching x 3. Food Due. J College. I'm not sure.

Made some changes to the last regular essay and resubmitted amended version with two days to spare.
Finished first draft of the 40% mark project. Way over word count and no idea if it hangs together at all. That now becomes Future Ralph's problem.
Second draft starts after paid job tomorrow evening.
Utterly fucked.
Head pounding.
Time for a nap.

Morning All!
It's Wednesday
Yesterday: A struggle. Head not right in the morning. Body didn't want to get up in the afternoon but I did and went down to inlaws to fix their new router up and discovered the package they recieved wasn't the router. At that point the head properly caved in and the body went with it. Not good. But... found Last Knight Cybertron's Omega Lock, which I'd been looking for for MONTHS and grabbed the first two of May's Epics cheap so day not a complete write off.
2am before I slept :-(
Today: J at ARC and hopefully climbing. L going down to her parents to wait for Virgin engineer to show up with router and install it. I'd like to get down there with J and sort the stuff out when the router's in but that might be one too many things for late in the day tmw as we've got Homegroup in the evening.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

WHAT.
Dear BBC, why oh why oh why has no one in the last four hours posted a 'Lawks a lordy, Martin's posting pictures from Jazz mags!' gag? Standards on this forum are definitely slipping.

I thought magazines about jazz music were jazz mags. Martin Oh the naivety. I have checked, this isn't just Burns mishearing the more commonly used slang, but is a more regional version
