I'm still convinced that originally, Unicron was set to devour Moonbase 2 later in the film, just like in the comic.
On the Vince Dicola soundtrack, the music for the second moons destruction is also after the Autobots escape Quintessa.

The songs weren't written for Transformers The Movie, just used in it. The Touch was originally written for Stallone's Cobra. Instruments of Destruction, according to TFwiki, is a toned-down version that took out words including "foreplay", "torture" and "seduction". I once had a conversation with Weird Al Yankovic about Transformers while we were both sitting in an abbey dressed as monks, in which I had it straight from the horse's mouth that Dare To Be Stupid was an existing song that the producers asked permission to use. (Wikipedia says it's a 1985 song.)

Yes, but the songs were chosen to fit specific moments in the film because of the lyrics in them and the way the tunes support those moments.
