A few weeks back I bought an old Galaxy Note 4 partly for Toy-Fu reasons, partly because they are a great little drawing pad thanks to the S pen. The one I bought was meant to have a cracked screen but include the pen and otherwise be in working condition. I needed a decent camera for Toy-Fu and extra S pens are always a good idea. I'd already bought one in the same condition from the same seller and it had arrived with just one relatively minor crack in one corner. Perfect for my needs, even if the screen on the new one was in worse shape. And at £25 worth a shot. It came two weeks ago and it quickly became clear the one they sent was not the correct one. The screen was undamaged, but there was no S pen and the camera didnt work properly. Which was not very useful. Seller offered a full refund or 50% refund if I wanted to keep it. I'd had a look and had found a replacement camera part for £3 so took the partial refund. Camera came yesterday and swapping it out was surprisingly easy aside from putting it back together. before after

Its crazy that what is still a decent phone (with spare parts still available) is deemed virtually worthless.
Okay freak circumstances and some effort on my part but Ive got a fully functioning phone for about £15.

I'd be more impressed if you had got it from the Car Boot.

A bargain is a bargain wherever it comes from.
I should look at car boot sales but honestly I am so bad at identifying phones and tablets I imagine it would go horribly wrong.

I was looking for Asda LED Christmas projector lights, but its was wet and miserable and the Asda Van Man was not there.
But I found a broken note 4. The screen was smashed and I was told it didnt work, but it had the plastic back panel, battery and S pen. If the battery or pen worked it was well worth £2. Got it home and there was some life when I plugged it in. So I figured I'd try putting the motherboard in the first Note 4 I bought about 4 or 5 years ago that only turns on if I put it in the freezer.
And it worked, it was password protected so had to do a reset to get access to it, but the freezer phone appears to be, finally, completely working.
And I have a bag of spare parts too.
