Good news is it's directed by the same guy as 10 Cloverfield Lane, so should have decent amount of tension.
I did enjoy Predators, but The Predator not so much.

Yeah, I thought Predators was decent enough. The Predator was pretty by the numbers, nothing exceptional.

Didn't The Predator have an intriguing teaser ending though, with the hero getting bonded to Predator tech? I guess they're not planning to do anything with that now.

Generally whenever a film in a series ends with a "We'll take the fight to them!" declaration by the humans, the film tanks and the sequel never happens. See also: Independence Day 2, Pacific Rim 2.
