Ok, the Studios Series Bumblebee movie turn out to be nice in-hand Anyone got yellowing on Ratchet? Just the upper left thigh piece on mine. No other piece. I would have thought maybe a different coloured piece of plastic but the other thigh is much whiter. Only noticed it today. It sorts of adds to the 'dirty battle' feel, even if unintentional! -Ralph Ah, so the yellow is common. With the design of the figure, it kind of gets away with it though. Hard to explain. -Ralph

So SSB Ratchet and SG Starscream had yellowing out of the box (the latter is much worse). I have now noticed that Selects G2 Ramjet has yellowing on the right forearm! It's not an old figure, is stored out of direct sunlight and doesn't have white plastic. WTF?

It's the plastic used. I'll dig out the posts where we covered it previously.
Any recent figure with white plastic is likely to have the problem.

How recent? I checked Commander Jetfire in panic and it's fine.
Selects G2 Ramjet isn't white. He should not be yellowing!
Apparently, Netflix Soundwave and ER Megatron also has the yellowing problem. Mine seem ok.
This is mad. Brand new out of the box figures should not be yellowing! Transformers are not cheap!
Good grief, will Haslab Star Saber have this problem??

That thought had occurred to me but the comments quoted above indicate they're on top of it now. I think we're talking toys in the last year or so. SG Starscream doesn't seem to have the problem either so that gives you some indication of when it started. |

This is all just nuts and I am now frightened to look at my figures. I thought for a moment ER Ratchet was going yellow down one side last week and it sent me into a rage until I looked at him under even light and realised he was fine. I must check all these figures this weekend. Any yellow and you will hear me scream.

We need Mrs Furman for this one! And how can a non-white figure such as Selects G2 Ramjet go yellow?? ?? Yellowing isn't limited to white figures, though is far more common on them. I have some recollection that the original G2 Ramjet has issues with discolouring as well, mainly on the blue parts |

I can't remember which toys but I've seen discolouration of various colours over the years, including greys, blues, greens and magentas, I think. White is probably just the most obvious or noticeable.

You make a valid point - we'll probably be trying to get the Scraplet to nap somehow without having a room to do it in. (Although we're hoping that we can play the "we have a child" card to get checked in early.) And then when he is napping we may be assisting with that very same thing. So... yes, we'll see. If the Scraplet isn't napping, I very much doubt he'll sit through that panel... |

I have an Armada Scavenger where the green has gone a dark brown in places due to being left on a windowsill. Not my one obviously, one in that armada box I was given. Also a Prime with discoloured parts on the trailer.
I was in the loft earlier, checked in on SG Starscream. Seems fine. The joints inside the shoulders look a slightly different white to the rest but I don't think that's yellowing. G1 Jetfire is still bright white in his box.
