Forgotten how to do this, apologies if I mess up  Oh no, the best laid plans do tend to go awry, don't they? Smaller text to try and keep things tidy. If this works I'll be going back to redo the lettering on the prior pages at some point. Thought it would be interesting to switch up the style for the flashback sequence. Little scratchier and rougher to show its a tired person having an unpleasant flashback. Kinda glad I'm not colouring this, as I don't have the skills to complement that and give that difference yet in desaturated colours. |

Thanks! It was a nightmare getting Needlenose into place, but once he was in, the others came pretty easily.
Doesn't hurt that you can get away with just using a load of boxes for Spinister... My attempts at realistic alt modes failed me there!

 Having a quick play to see if I want to do this in colour, and... I'm not sure? Don't know if I have the chops to do a full book. Certainly the washed out flashback sequences I'm worried about. Well, lets see. Need to get the rest of it done first! |

Work stalled a bit on this, but last night saw a wee burst of productivity: four pages now coloured, and the next one started penciling.
Reckon once I get the first page coloured up I'll start posting them on Bluesky.
The first page is the hardest, as it was done 100% on paper, so I need to go old school photoshop with the colouring, which I'm very out of practice at! Might leave the flashback pages monochrome too. haven't decided yet.

Yes, I am shifting the story forward a few years and creating a splinter continuity in which Primal Scream did not play out the same.

The Protectobots are always a safe bet as apart from that other text story 'Prime Bomb' and the Christmas story with Starscream that had Streetwise in it they were pretty much ignored between the first Spacehikers story and G2.

Having slept on it, I'm 100% not happy with the colouring job. I need to do something about this.
Whole page has been digitally re-inked as well, but I don't think that's the problem. Maybe it needs to be darker?

If you are doing it in procreate, then a few suggestions.
I'd darken the whole image, but get an airbrushs out and have the headlights give off some light, and mind Backstreet will have rear lights on so there should be some light coming from his rear end.

If you'll forgive an uninformed opinion, I thought from the start that you were losing a lot by colouring. The inks look SO good and, after all, given you mentioned it, Akira didn't need colour.

 Just playing now, seeing if I can fix things a tad. Darkened Backstreet, added more prominent lights and a big noisy sound effect. Few more speedlines too. It's all a learning process! |

I was planning on pulling this all together as a physical edition when it's done, but I also want something vaguely creative to show on social media. So would it be wise to start putting this out in the wild, or would that hurt the print copies chances?
