WB decided Batgirl wouldn't be a big enough "event," so they cancelled it, even though it's almost complete.
I guess every movie needs to open as big as Avengers Endgame, or it's not worth releasing.

Very annoyed by this news. I was looking forward to seeing the Conjunx on the screen alongside Michael Keaton. Well, not directly alongside, but in the same film, anyway. Possibly in a scene with Leslie Grace, which would also have been cool.
I'd say it's peculiar that Batgirl has been cancelled, yet the incredibly-problem-beset Flash is still going ahead (whilst Ezra Miller continues go to more off the rails), and we've also had Joker Part Deux just announced. But then you look at this being cancelled, and Batgirl, and Legends of Tomorrow, and a pattern starts to form...

Everyone seems to be neglecting to remember the Scooby Doo movie was canned too.
This is just clean sweep corporate bollocks of the kind when a new boss comes in.

Infinity Train and OK somethingsomething are being erased from existence, and cancelled several upcoming projects. They dumped a ton of Sesame Street. |
