I am shocked we don't appear to have a Point Break thread. Not the remake, the 90s original.
It's been on iPlaything and I've watched it three times in two weeks. (Obviously I'm familiar with it from my youth.)
It's one of the best films of all time.
A perfectly paced and directed action film with superb casting and performances. The chemistry between the characters is palpable. And it's highly quotable, which we like. An example of a perfect movie.

Never seen it. Though from the publicity photos I can see why in the MCU this was Tony Stark's nickname for Thor.

It's a fun film, but it's a once a decade film not 3 times a month! I watched it in a hostel somewhere when I was backpacking once upon too many years ago. I think it might have been when I went skydiving but I also went up the Great Ocean road where Bells Beach is (actually filmed in Oregon, apparently) so it might have been then. There was some connection to where I was or what I'd been doing but my memory is letting me down.

Never actually seen Point Break. It is one of the - approximately half of - Kathryn Bigelow's films I haven't seen. I must get around to seeing it one day, just to see if it falls into the "good Bigelow films" category, or "bad Bigelow films" category. (I really liked Near Dark and Strange Days, but can take or leave "The Hurt Locker", and I cannot abide "Zero Dark Thirty" for all its craftsmanship.
