Currently on the train home from a typically enjoyable TF Nation. Really enjoyed the panels I saw yesterday.
Got a haul of several Transformers, both new and a couple of G1 pieces. Only disappointment was not being able to meet Sue Blue - should have got the legends pass I guess!
Now to cross my fingers and hope the train trip goes smoothly.

I tried a different method for getting home this year compared to the past 5 or 6 TFN's where I have hung about in the bar all night until 5am or 6am and getting a very early and cheap train. This year I tried to get an over night bus home that was eventful and very stressful. It turned out the bus stop wasn't where I thought it was, where I had gotten a Megabus a decade ago. I ended up going the opposite direction when I left New Street station, and then when I finally found the correct street, travelled down the wrong direction. I like to use satellite view when using google maps so I can use landmarks, but my phone only either had street view or default map. I just made the bus stop minutes before my bus was due, then within 90 seconds I heard a screech, loud ban and turned around to see a car rolling over like something out of the A-Team approx 50 feet away. That was a scary and surreal night. Next year I shall just stick to the bar over night and a very cheap train on the Monday morning. Plus the train is more comfortable to sleep on as I was crammed into the back corner of the bus. The event itself was great and thank you to all the TFN staff and volunteers, though my low mood I have been dealing with lately wouldn't go away, so I was struggling to interact and felt withdrawn most of the weekend.  |
