I'd love to see a photo of this with the arms properly transformed. Unless that is it.

They definitely look they should slide up along the ring parts.
Anyone able to photo shop it?

Zooming in, they're definitely designed to slide up. This being a prototype though, it may not be able to. Either in that the locking mechanism doesn't yet exist, broke a long time ago, or the toy is just too fragile.
I'm leaning into the toy is too fragile, since in all this time showing it off, no one's ever transformed it.

Wouldn't it be great if Hasbro/or a third party company made this Unicron toy just as it should have been. No improvements just warts and all Arcee too.

Happy that the robot arms are sorted - but surely that robot head tucks down just a smidgen further in planet mode... ?

I love the way he's just peeking out in planet mode :)

It'll work nicely with my Worlds Smallest or Heroes of Cybertron.

If this arms and legs are detachable (and I doubt they are) it could make a nice little retro toy planet mode.
Going one step further, if the arms and legs were shaped so they could then form the ring, thst would be genius. (But naughty, as we know third party licensed products are not allowed to transform).

I am still reeling from the information that the prototype unicron had detachable fists
